We report in situ synthesis of the first CF(3) oxonium salts, thermally unstable O-(trifluoromethyl)dibenzofuranium which furthermore have different counteranions (BF(4)-, PF(6)-, SbF(6)-, and Sb(2)F(11)-) ring substituents (tert-butyl, F, OCH(3)), by photochemical decomposition corresponding 2-(trifluoromethoxy)biphenylyl-2'-diazonium salts at -90 to -100 degrees C. The yields markedly increased order BF(4)- < PF(6)- SbF(6)- Sb(2)F(11)-. were fully assigned means (1)H (19)F NMR spectroscopy...

Homogeneous dispersions of reduced tungsten oxide and bronze nanoparticles with ternary additives Na, Tl, Rb, Cs have been prepared in the wet process examined for optical properties. The are found to show a remarkable absorption near infrared light while retaining high transmittance visible light. This property is highly suitable solar control filters automotive architectural windows.

Prostaglandins E1 and E2 stimulate cyclic AMP accumulation in pig epidermis human from patients with psoriasis. A1, A2 F2α are relatively ineffective. The fact that this stimulation is not inhibited by a β‐blocker (propranolol) the prostaglandin adrenaline additive indicates each drug acts independently on epidermal adenyl cyclase system. In other words, prostaglandins act site than β‐receptor of epidermis. additive; hence they probably same site. Concentrations E above 3 × 10−7 M effective...

We demonstrated the conversion of testosterone-4-14C to dihydrotestosterone (17β-Phydroxy-5α-androstan-17-one), tissue-active androgen, with 50–200 μg freeze-dried human hair follicles plucked from various regions. All thus far tested contained 5α-reductase activity. Under optimal conditions, activity in growing ranged 10–20 nmoles/100 mg dry wt/hr. In scalp, showed 3–8 times higher values than resting. other regions such as beard, axilla, chest, pubis, arms and legs, nearly same activities...

The cyclic adenosine 3',5'-monophosphate (cyclic AMP) content of pig skin was measured several seconds to minutes after removal the from body. It increased very rapidly, reached a maximum by 2 min (4 times higher than initial level), then decreased slowly. Propranolol injected into animal before or added did not suppress this phenomenon. practical significance finding (increase AMP level in ischaemia) is obvious-in order measure vivo, sample must be frozen immediately avoid an 'artificial'...
