OZONIZED MAIZE GRAIN.The objective of this study was to optimize and validate a solid-liquid extraction method with low-temperature partitioning (SLE/LTP) for the analysis pesticides. This coupled gas chromatography (GC/ECD) used evaluate degradation bifenthrin pirimiphos-methyl in maize grains on exposure ozone. The optimized SLE/LTP-GC/ECD is simple, effective consumes low quantities solvent. It can be routinely determination samples. The use determined that levels insecticides were reduced...
This study aimed to evaluate the quality of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) stored with different moisture contents under hermetic conditions. Beans 12.3%, 15.7%, and 17.8% content were used in experiment. They packed bag type silos (3 kg), PET bottles (1.5 L), glass containers covered organza fabric (control), at 25 ºC 70±5% relative humidity, for 120 days. The evaluated characteristics included content, apparent density, electrical conductivity, germination percentage, cooking time, bean...

The cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus maculatus) is the main post-harvest pest of crop because it causes damage when feeds on grains during storage and, consequently, inflicts economic loss. Among promising alternatives to chemical control beetle in stored use biological by means parasitoid Dinarmus basalis. This parasitic relationship has been reported several Brazilian states. study aims record occurrence this associated with C. maculatus municipality Barra, São-Franciscano Valley Mesoregion...
