Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the inflammatory status aqueous humor in fellow eye after uneventful cataract surgery first eye. Methods: At screening stage, samples from 15 first-eye and second-eye patients were collected just before assayed using human cytokine antibody array. Screened cytokines then verified a suspension array system with obtained 35 36 patients. Results: revealed that interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (Il-1ra) macrophage protein (MIP)-1a MIP-1b expressed...

To investigate the difference between two-dimensionally measured disc diameters (DDs) based on fundus images and three-dimensionally DDs enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography (EDI-OCT).The were EDI-OCT of optic nerve heads near-infrared reflectance in 90 normal eyes subjects. Disc rotation around sagittal axis was defined as angle maximal DD vertical axis. horizontal axes cosine divided by images.Mean 14.4 ± 9.3°, 23.0 21.3°, 4.7 6.6°. Horizontal, vertical, minimal,...

To study the distribution and shifting trends of bacterial keratitis. The data 2220 corneal isolates from 1 January 1989 to 31 December 1998 were reviewed retrospectively.Positive culture was recovered in 490 isolates. Gram positive cocci negative bacilli represented 51% 39.4%, respectively. Pseudomonas aeruginosa most common pathogen (32.2%). A gradual increase percentage coupled with a decrease bacilli.Pseudomonas coaculase Staphylococcus pathogens keratitis north China.

Abstract Background Vessel density (VD) of the elderly ocular hypertension patients measured by optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) have been reported. However, studies VD in juvenile (JOHT) are limited. We wished to evaluate changes using OCTA JOHT. also investigated potential risk parameters intraocular pressure (IOP) and vertical cup/disc ratio (CDR) with for observing development Methods examined 86 eyes 45 control (Ctrl) subjects 65 34 JOHT at glaucoma clinic Eye, Ear, Nose,...

A 67-year-old man complained of red and bulging eyes for 3 months. He was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer his bilateral internal jugular vein (IJV) resected during the surgery. Ophthalmic examination revealed corkscrew-shaped arterialized conjunctival veins severe papilledema. Magnetic resonance angiography malformation vessels near right sigmoid sinus (Figure).
