Mutations in MECP2 predominantly cause Rett syndrome (RTT) and can be modelled vitro using human stem cell-derived neurons. RTT patients have signs of cortical hyperexcitability, such as seizures. Human null excitatory neurons smaller soma size reduced synaptic connectivity but are also hyperexcitable due to higher input resistance. Paradoxically, networks show a decrease the frequency network bursts consistent with hypoconnectivity phenotype. Here, we examine this issue. We reanalyzed...
Electric power systems consist of generation, transmission, and distribution components. As the demand for electricity grows seemingly endless, it is expected that a number constraints, such as environmental, regulatory economic, prevent construction new plants transmission lines. Finding improved ways to utilize capacity supplied by existing generation facilities infrastructure problem engineers, equipment manufacturers, agencies are now facing. This paper introduces an optimization method...
In this paper, a comprehensive characterization and calibration of K-band large scale active phased-array antenna (APAA) that consists 1024 (32×32) radiating elements based on modular architecture is presented. RF-channels are fully characterized inside the APAA environment using planar near-field probe setup. A very accurate efficient technique suggested verified successfully over wide range scan angles (0 to 70 degree) frequency band 18-21 GHz.
ABSTRACT Variants in the gene encoding postsynaptic scaffolding protein SHANK2 are associated with several neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder. Here, we used vitro multielectrode arrays and pharmacological manipulations to characterize how functional connectivity network-level firing properties were altered cultures of human iPSC-derived neurons. Using two isogenic pairs cell lines, showed that hyperconnectivity phenotype was recapitulated at network level....
Studies show that a successful visually guided behaviour depends on the target's spatiotopic position. Targets can be encoded and retrieved from memory (decoded) to perform different tasks. However, whether "this retinotopically information transforms spatiotemporal representations before residing in memory" is not investigated thoroughly. This study aims explore how accurate retinotopic representation derives encoding. We designed task which encoding targets were evaluated same trials. The...
ABSTRACT Rett syndrome (RTT) patients show abnormal developmental trajectories including loss of language and repetitive hand movements but also have signs cortical hyperexcitability such as seizures. RTT is predominantly caused by mutations in MECP2 can be modelled vitro using human stem cell-derived neurons. null excitatory neurons are smaller soma size reduced synaptic connectivity hyperexcitable, due to higher input resistance, which increases the chance evoke action potentials with a...
Neurons in the primate lateral prefrontal cortex (LPFC) encode and maintain WM representations absence of external stimuli. Neural computations underlying spatial primates are traditionally studied using highly controlled tasks consisting simple 2D visual stimuli require a saccadic response. Therefore, there is little known about how populations LPFC neurons may transform 3D space for animals to navigate towards remembered object locations. To explore this issue, we created task that takes...
Several municipalities have recently installed wireless 'smart' water meters that allow functionalities such as demand response, leak alerts, identification of characteristic patterns, and detailed consumption analysis. To achieve these benefits, the meter data needs to be error-free, which is not necessarily available in practice, due 'dirtiness' or 'uncertainty' data, mostly unavoidable. The focus this paper investigate practical solutions mine uncertain for reliable results evaluate...
