Recent literature has suggested a novel symbiotic relationship between bacteriophage and metazoan host that provides antimicrobial defense protecting mucosal surface by binding to matrix mucin glycoproteins. Here, we isolated studied different bacteriophages specifically interact with human extracellular molecules such as fibronectin, gelatin, heparin demonstrated their potency for protection against microbial infections. We showed subpopulations of work clinical isolates Escherichia coli...

Environmental enteropathy (EE), a chronic small intestine disease characterized by gut inflammation, is widely prevalent in low-income countries and hypothesized to be caused continuous exposure fecal contamination. Targeted nutritional interventions using potential probiotic strains from fermented foods can an effective strategy inhibit enteric pathogens prevent inflammation. We isolated rice water lemon pickle investigated their cell surface properties, antagonistic adhesion HT-29 cells,...

Robust control of pathogens in sewage facilitates safe reuse wastewater rich valuable nutrients for potential valorization through biological means. Aspergillus niger is widely reported bioremediation but studies on enteric are very sparse. So, this study aimed at exploring the antibacterial and nematicidal activity A. culture filtrate (ACF). Antibacterial ACF (Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Vibrio cholerae, Salmonella enterica, Shigella dysenteriae, Escherichia coli,...

In the present study, antioxidant activities of rhizome Musa acuminata were investigated. Free radical scavenging assay (DPPH) and reducing power ethanolic extract banana resulted in potential activities. A relatively high percentage activity by DPPH (81.41% at 200 μg/ml) which was comparable to that standard, ascorbic acid 100 μg/ml observed. With gallic as standard showed a low reductive potential, however, when tested for cytotoxicity highest concentration dose (256 μg/ml), maximum rate...

CDK2 (Cyclin Dependent Kinase 2) acts as a potential therapeutic target in cancer and several efforts have been made to find more specific, potent selective ATP competitive inhibitors. In this paper, we report virtual screening approach that resulted 54,558 Lipinski compliant hits from ZINC database based on the features exhibited by four compounds our previous study. Docking scoring of all using GOLD (Genetic Optimisation for Ligand Docking) software, evaluate affinity binding towards...

Abstract Enteric infection by faecal contamination of drinking water is a major concern in developing nations contributing to the huge burden malnutrition and infant mortality. We have developed holistic approach, named as gut gutter treat wastewater treatment, screening potential probiotic strains from staple food sources. The could be potentially used for competing out enteric pathogens different applications such treatment. focused on two isolated rice (RS) lemon pickle (T1), identified...
