Morphological, anatomical and ultrastructural changes, the quantity quality of stomata, chlorophyll (Chl) content in primary outer leaves cabbage plants cv. Sława from Enkhouizen were examined. The grown agar with basic MS medium containing added nickel (as NiSO4×7 H2O) concentrations 0, 5, 10, 20 g m-3 (Ni0, Ni5, Ni10, Ni20). Reduction leaf blade area, succulence density, growth specific area noticed treated all Ni. In Ni-treated total number stomata open decreased, defective both adaxial...

Iodine is indispensable in the diet of humans and other mammals iodine deficiencies cause serious illnesses. The content food (with exception marine foodstuffs) does not meet nutritional needs humans, for this reason prophylactic iodination salt currently carried out many countries. Biofortification plants with can become a widespread, alternative means supplying iodine-rich foods. In present study, we discuss main issues related to cultivation enriched iodine. We describe effect various...

Abstract Ornamental plants growing in urban areas are often exposed to salt stress that negatively affects their decorative value. Enhancement of resistance retain a high value despite has therefore practical importance. In our study, the exposure Plectranthus scutellarioides (L.) R. Br. NaCl-induced moderate (40 mM) or severe (80 resulted number responses including reduced growth parameters, decreased concentration photosynthetic pigments, and an increase accumulation anthocyanins free...

The study focused on the influence of an increased copper content in Murashige and skoog (1962) solid medium vitro plant growth development Dendrobium kingianum Bidwill. Sterile explants pseudobulbs were used for micropropagation orchid plants MS regeneration supplemented with 0.5 mg dm-3 NAA 1.0 kinetin. Copper (as CuSO4 × 5H2O) was added to all combinations concentrations 0.025 (control), 0.625, 1.25, 2.5 5.0 dm-3. results showed that treatments 1.25 stimulated culture. After eight months...

Changes in the structure and ultrastructure of cabbage outer leaf mesophyll cells [<em>Brassica oleracea</em> L.] cv. Sława from Enkhouizen were examined by means light electron microscopy. The plants grown on basic Murashige Skoog medium with addition excesive concentrations nickel (added as NiSO4 x 7H2O),i.e. Ni 5, 10 20 mg/dm3. In 5 mg samples mainly adaptation changes to conditions stress observed. These...

The culture of cucumber plants <em>Cucumis sativus</em> L. Wisconsin cultivar, from seeds and leaf explants, were carried out on the basic medium ofMurashige Skoog <em>in vitro</em> conditions. In set explants MS was supplemented with IAA (0,5 mg/dm3) BAP (2 mg/dm3). Aluminium (as AlCl3) added to media in concentration Of 1 mg/dm3. pH adjusted 6,2 or 4,2. seedling culture,...

Fluorescent methods were used for investigation of callose deposition in cells wound tuber tissue potato. Potato cultivars: Tarpan, Certa and Narew examined. Deposition depended on the place wound, type cultivar The apical part deposited more than base primary bark pith crown. More was less Certa, least Narew. quantity corresponded to resistance store diseases i.e. fungal dry mixed rots. As temperature during storage healing wounded declined, after injury decreased.
