Antral follicle count (AFC) and anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) are known as the most reliable markers of a woman's ovarian reserve related to age. There is currently no specific local age-related centile charts for AFC AMH. Therefore, we aim examine relationship between AMH with age construct nomograms among subfertile Asian population. This study involving Chinese women who had their measured part subfertility screening from December 2010 until November 2014 in KK Women's Children's Hospital,...
Abstract Perineural (Tarlov) cysts are usually incidental findings during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) performed for low back pain. However, in a tertiary women's hospital, they may present as on gynecological ultrasound imaging. Approximately 40 000 pelvic scans annually our department. Tarlov were identified three women between August 2007 and September 2008. In two patients (Cases 1 3), these initially misdiagnosed hydrosalpinges examination, the latter having differential diagnosis...
Large extraluminal gastrointestinal tumors (GISTs) may present as pelvic masses and thus mimic gynecological neoplasms in female patients. On clinical examination ultrasound, these resemble pedunculated fibroids or ovarian tumors. Multidetector computed tomography (CT), with its ability to perform isotropic multiplanar reconstruction, is useful differentiating GISTs from true by demonstrating the pedicle sign connecting a GIST organ of origin. This allows preoperative diagnosis be made,...
Introduction: The purpose of this case series was to determine the sonographic features neonatal ovarian torsion. Materials and Methods: Seven surgically proven cases cysts were included in retrospective study. patients divided into 2 groups, torsion non-torsion. These 7 evaluated for clinical presentation, features, surgical pathological findings. findings on follow-up sonography after surgery also noted. Results: appearance variable. Of 4 with torsion, lesions had internal echoes ‘fish-net...
Ectopic pregnancy in the interstitial part of fallopian tube is a rare event, associated with high rate complications due to delayed diagnosis. Rupture such often results catastrophic hemorrhage. Several reports highlighted role magnetic resonance imaging establishing diagnosis pregnancy, but findings ruptured advanced ectopic have not been published before. The authors therefore present characteristic on which had reached 18 weeks, 25-year-old woman who presented acute abdominal pain.
Uterine fibroids are the most common type of gynaecologic benign tumours, occurring in 25% to 50% women during their reproductive lives. About half affected have clinically significant symptoms, including abnormal bleeding, menstrual pain, frequent urination, constipation and abdominal distension. Magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound surgery (MRgFUS) has been used treat patients with lesions a variety malignancies. The objective this study is evaluate symptom relief before after...
We report two cases of hypothalamic hamartoma associated with suprasellar cysts that were diagnosed by fetal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in our institution. In the first case, a 34-year-old woman, gravida 3 para 1, presented trimester pregnancy. She had undergone termination previous pregnancy because midline abnormalities (cleft lip and palate absent cavum septi pellucidi, normal karyotype). Ultrasound examination at 20 weeks' gestation showed 6.4 × 5.2-mm cyst anterior to cerebellum....
ABSTRACT A male newborn infant with a giant epignathus associated intracranial teratoma and obstructive hydrocephalus detected antenatally is reported. Only 4 similar cases have been reported in the literature. This disorder uniformly lethal. We believe this first case of congenital diagnosed by ultrasonography.
Fetal imaging has improved with the development of faster magnetic resonance (MRI) sequences, obviating requirement for sedation. It is useful in characterising abnormality central nervous system fetuses abnormal or equivocal antenatal ultrasound findings. We reviewed all cases fetal brain and spine MRI performed our institution. All from May 2006 to December 2008 were retrospectively reviewed, including MRI, postnatal autopsy findings.Thirty-one imaged evaluation which 3 specifically spinal...
The case of an echogenic mass in the right lung that apparently resolved spontaneously prior to delivery is reported here. Postnatal investigations revealed congenital lobar emphysema. To knowledge authors, this first spontaneous, complete resolution on antenatal ultrasound due routine use screen for foetal anomalies has led discovery a number incidental findings, such as mass, pose challenge diagnosis and management. importance appropriate counselling postnatal follow‐up are highlighted.
