Lateral organs formed by the shoot apical meristem (SAM) are separated from surrounding stem cells regions of low growth called boundaries. Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) BLADE-ON-PETIOLE1 (BOP1) and BOP2 represent a class genes important for boundary patterning in land plants. Members this family lack DNA-binding domain interact with TGACG-motif binding (TGA) basic Leu zipper (bZIP) transcription factors recruitment to DNA. Here, we show that clade I bZIP TGA1 TGA4, previously...
The effects of microRNA156 overexpression on general plant architecture, branching, flowering time and nodulation were investigated in the model legume, Lotus japonicus. We cloned an miR156 homolog, LjmiR156a, from L. japonicus, its SQUAMOSA PROMOTER BINDING PROTEIN LIKE (SPL) genes biological function at enhancing vegetative biomass yield, extending time, impact nodulation. Thirteen potential targets for LjmiR156 identified vitro their expression profiles determined aerial underground parts...
We produced complete sequences and conducted comparative analysis of the maternally inherited chloroplast (cp) genomes bi-parentally 45S nuclear ribosomal RNA genes (nrDNA) from ten Araliaceae species to elucidate genetic diversity evolution in that family. The cp ranged 155,993 bp 156,730 with 97.1-99.6% similarity. Complete nrDNA units were about 11 kb including a 5.8-kb cistron. Among 79 protein-coding genes, 74 showed nucleotide variations among species, which infA, rpl22, rps19 ndhE...
Background Hypericum perforatum L. (St. John's wort) is a medicinal plant with pharmacological properties that are antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, anti-cancer, and antibacterial. Its major active metabolites hypericins, hyperforins, melatonin. However, little genetic information available for this species, especially concerning the biosynthetic pathways ingredients. Methodology/Principal Findings Using de novo transcriptome analysis, we obtained 59,184 unigenes covering entire...
A promising strategy for porphyrin–TiO2 photocatalyst preparation by using sol–gel process and solvothermal condition showed prospective utilization in the field of dye pollutant photodegradation.
Epimedium sagittatum is a well-known medicinal plant as well potential ground cover and ornamental plant. A total of 14 polymorphic microsatellite markers were developed for use in taxonomy, phylogenetics conservation genetics. Markers presented between two eight alleles per locus. The observed heterozygosity (H(O) ) expected (H(E) ranged from 0.03 to 0.81 0.05 0.81, respectively. Cross-amplification among other four species revealed promising results three six loci. These loci contributed...
Epidemiological studies have shown that almost all physical illnesses coexist with psychiatric disorders or psychological problems, and the severity of mental illness is positively correlated duration illness. Liaison consultations are valuable in identifying treating disorders, but rate follow-up after consultation low outpatients. This study aimed to investigate factors influencing post-discharge psychosomatic visits patients undergoing liaison general hospitals construct a Nomogram...
