Abstract Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) predominantly considered a metabolic disease is now being an inflammatory as well due to the involvement of meta-inflammation. Obesity-induced adipose tissue inflammation (ATI) one earliest phenomena in case meta-inflammation, leading advent insulin resistance (IR) and T2DM. The key events ATI are orchestrated by macrophages, which aggravate state upon activation, ultimately systemic chronic low-grade Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) through...

Purpose.: To determine if hyperosmolar stress can stimulate human neutrophils to form neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) and investigate potential strategies reduce formation of NETs (NETosis) in a environment. Methods.: Neutrophils were isolated from peripheral venous blood healthy subjects incubated iso-osmolar (280 mOsM) or (420 media for 4 hours. Neutrophil quantified using PicoGreen dye assay measure DNA. Two known inhibitors NETosis, staurosporine anti-β2 integrin blocking antibody,...
