In this paper we have studied the properties of Quasi-ideals and Bi-ideals in ternary semi groups. We prove that every quasi-ideal is a bi-ideal inTbut converse not true general by giving several example different context.
Logistics 4.0 brands the specific application of Industry technologies. Although it is considered to be a significant innovation, contemporary research has raised concerns regarding potential challenges for its implementation. To our knowledge, no study conducted an extensive quantitative risk analysis avoid these new risks and overcome barriers adoption in logistics context. Moreover, comprehensive on implementation each technology at sub-activity level structure still warranted. This...
Purpose Industry 4.0 (I4.0) technologies are pivotal in enhancing supply chain resilience (SCRES). The extant literature identifies multiple antecedents of SCRES. However, the holistic impact I4.0 on all SCRES has not been rigorously studied. Practising managers have a limited understanding interrelationship these and their each antecedent its subfactors. This highlights need for comprehensive technology roadmap that integrates with subfactors, benefiting both pre- post-disruption phases....
The Indian subcontinent is highly susceptible to natural disasters. To abate the effect of disasters, government emanates institutional mechanisms and strategies for disaster preparedness, mitigation response. Although there well-established framework in India management, no study that proposes a supply chain structure under integrates information digital technologies (IDT) industry 4.0 within it. present overcomes this research gap. It introduces an IDT multi-agency sharing, coordination...
The present study investigates the cause-and-effect relationships between production capacity decisions and choice of distribution policy aspects managing an extensive vaccination programme. Indian COVID-19 vaccine supply chain is taken as a case study, demographic data utilised. A Monte Carlo Markov Chain (MCMC) model developed to estimate time period-wise demand corresponding each policy. Furthermore, eight different management models involving addition transfer strategies for four...
Procurement is an overlapping function between engineering and construction phases of procurement (EPC) projects. Due to these overlaps, risks may have cascading effect on project cost schedule overruns. Thus, management risk important avoid detrimental the success project. A requires multiple items from suppliers under contracts, terms conditions exposure. This study proposes integrated frame work, 64 combinations comprising type item, buyer-supplier relationship, pricing regime six types...
Circular supply chains (CSC) and evolving technologies work together to enhance chain performance. To assess this, we examine the integration of technologies, such as Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, logistics in a CSC setup. The study focuses on two product types: normal (non-smart) products. Smart products feature sensing, connectivity, networking, monitoring capabilities, while lack these features. Using multi-objective optimisation technique, analyse network estimate benefits...
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to analyze risk profiles projects based on project characteristics and provide key managerial insights. Design/methodology/approach A total 37 cases from engineering construction (E&C), information system/technology (IS/IT), new product development (NPD) sectors with detailed risks were identified published literature. An integrated framework was developed the prominent categories associated novelty, technology, complexity, pace (NTCP)...
Customer involvement plays a crucial role in engineered-to-order (ETO) projects. The present study investigates the of customers, with thorough technical knowledge, as resources and co-producers. also analyses impact customer sourcing decisions project execution on performance (PP) ETO shipbuilding projects by considering characteristics. contributions this to current body knowledge are twofold. First, it demonstrates that at different stages have differential impacts PP. during early has...
Purpose This work aims at integrating materials management with project in the context of manufacturing complex products which require a variety items. To achieve this, we propose two prioritization measures items: material criticality (MC) activity level and overall (OC) by incorporating network characteristic through (AC) values. Design/methodology/approach The costs or penalties determine items are hidden nature difficult to measure model mathematically. Hence, Fuzzy Inference System...
The block erection area is an important bottleneck resource that determines the throughput and productivity of a shipyard. This study addresses Block Spatial Scheduling (BSS) problem shipbuilding project comprising 72 blocks with uncertain duration. We adopted priority rules-based simulation approach to overcome computational complexity non-deterministic polynomial hard BSS problem. one earliest studies introduce (space) based criticality index in Four time-based, resource-based six...
AbstractThis work devises a materials management policy integrated with project network characteristics of complex projects. It proposes relative quantitative measure, overall criticality (OC), for prioritisation items based on penalty incurred due to their non-availability. In projects, practicing managers find it difficult measure OC because the subjective factors and intractable nature penalties involved. However, using experience, they can linguistically identify antecedents relate them...
