We report a microlens array camera with variable apertures (MACVA) for high dynamic range (HDR) imaging by using arrays various sizes of apertures. The MACVA comprises apertures, arrays, gap spacers, and CMOS image sensor. microlenses capture low (LDR) images different f-stops under single-shot exposure. reconstructed HDR clearly exhibit expanded ranges surpassing LDR as well resolution without motion artifacts, comparable to the maximum MTF50 value observed among images.
