In this paper, we deal with the problem of defecting and segmenting surface appearance defects bearing rollers our specially designed inspection system. We propose two different methods to process pictures obtained from precision rollers. Our algorithms are dimonstrated feasible be implemented on general purpose hardware image processing architecture thus achieve high speed show promise practical in future.
