BACKGROUND Naturally available biomass can be explored as a potential sorbent for recovery of precious metals. This work evaluates the sorption biosorbent developed by host soluble tannins cross-linked Lagerstroemia speciosa leaves powder (TLS) Pd from secondary waste. RESULTS Batch experiments suggest 95% Pd(II) TLS is achieved over pH range 1–6 with maximum 99% at 2. The experimental data onto well explained pseudo-second-order kinetics and Langmuir isotherm model monolayer capacity 46.3...

Abstract A new Schiff base receptor 1 was synthesized and its photophysical properties were investigated by absorption, emission excitation techniques. Furthermore, chromogenic fluorogenic sensing abilities towards various metal ions examined. Receptor selectively detects Cu 2+ ion through fluorescence quenching detection not inhibited in the presence of other ions. From titration, limit as a fluorescent ‘turn‐off’ sensor for analysis estimated to be 0.35 μM.

A series of 5‐substituted 1 H ‐tetrazole were efficiently prepared by InCl 3 catalyzed (10 mol %) from structurally divert organic nitriles with sodium azide under the influence microwave irradiation. The present protocol was successfully applied to aliphatic, aryl, benzylic and heterocyclic corresponding obtained in good excellent yield (70‐96%). This method gives remarkable advantages such as short reaction time, simple work‐up procedure economical beneficial.

Herein, the authors have developed an efficient green method for reduction of graphene oxide by using seed extract from easily available and cheap plant Punica granatum L. (pomegranate). Phytochemical constituents present in are responsible reduction, stabilization capping reduced graphene. There a number methods reported physical chemical oxide, but approach has become more popular. Utilization P. is first time. The essential because reaction set-up simple, it takes less time, non-toxic,...

In recent years, the development of clean, efficient and environmentally friendly chemical processes using less hazardous chemicals has been one main goals researchers. Green chemistry sustainability are directing next generation biocomposite materials products. Herein, authors use ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([BMIM]Cl) as a green solvent for synthesis biodegradable, from cellulose (microcrystalline (MCC)), guar gum (GG) poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA). The effect GG PVA...
