Posterior long-segment spinal fusion may lead to proximal junctional kyphosis (PJK). The present study sought identify the appropriate levels required in order prevent PJK using finite element analysis. A model was constructed based on whole-spine computed tomography findings of a healthy adult. Nine commonly used posterior methods were selected. Stress annulus fibrosis fibers, ligamentous complex, and vertebrae after various fusions upright position compared. This divided into two groups:...

Based on the design conditions, the structure strength and modal analysis are carried impeller by One-way Fluid-structure Interaction technique in ANSYS Workbench platform. The results show that under water stress, maximum deformation occurs brink of blade, equivalent stress at liner near blade pressure surface, has a great influence vibration pump.

Objective: To analyse the biomechanical effects on adjacent segments of different growing-rod (GR) fixation in early onset scoliosis through a finite element analysis method. Methods: A severe early-onset patient was selected and pre-operation post-GR-operation (Upper instrumented levels: T(4), T(5). Lower L(3), L(4)) whole spine 3-dimentional CT scan data were collected to build models. Based models, differences analysed. Results: The stress structures decreased after GR surgery compared...

Objective To measure the sagittal endplate morphology parameters of adult lower lumbar spine (L3-S1) and to explore its significance in design modification artificial intervertebral disc interbody fusion cage. Methods Three-dimensional CT reconstructions were obtained 80 healthy volunteers. Sagittal concavity angle (SCA), apex (ECA) depth (ECD) L3 inferior S1 superior midsagittal plane measured. According age (>40 years or ≤40 years) gender, we divided all images into four groups. The...

Abstract With the accelerated application of new-generation information technologies, developed countries have implemented digitalization strategies to gain a competitive advantage in digital era. Artificial intelligence (AI) is widely used wide range modern industries. Our country has put increasing emphasis on AI and our aerospace industry being more digitalized. This study focuses prospects spacecraft ground testing. It aims build smart labs driven by products discusses how integrate into...

Ligament augmentation has been applied during spinal surgery to prevent proximal junctional kyphosis (PJK), but the configuration and distal anchor strategies are diverse inconsistent. The biomechanics of different ligament are, therefore, unclear. We aimed create a finite element model spine for segments T6–S1. Model Intact was native form, IF instrumented with pedicle screw from T10 S1. remaining models were based on IF, configurations as common (CM), chained (CH), (CHM); anchors spinous...
