Rock elastic properties play an important role in the geological characteristics of reservoirs. The analysis these is normally based physical experiments on rocks. However, such conventional cannot meet actual requirements when rock fragile or has complex composition. With development computer technology and application micro-computed tomography scanning technology, digital physics technologies came into existence. In this work, was applied to obtain high-quality three-dimensional images...
ABSTRACT Organic matter types, abundance, and thermal maturity were assessed based on organic geochemical data. Then, we provided insights into the source rocks' hydrocarbon‐generating capacity described favourable reservoir types in Ordovician units of Sichuan Basin. The cross‐plot hydrogen Index (HI, mg HC/g Total Carbon (TOC)) versus temperature maximum generation ( T max , °C) shows that samples from Houtan Sanhui sections have very low HI values (12.05 < 7.75 TOC). These suggest...
To improve the understanding of relationship between silica source and organic matter accumulation, origin its implications for enrichment in Upper Ordovician-Lower Silurian (O3w-S1l) black shale western Hubei Province middle Yangtze area, were investigated through geochemical petrological analyses. The results show that O3w-S1l is mainly composed five lithofacies with varying graptolite abundance, total carbon (TOC), contents. Biogenic terrigenous siliciclastic input constitute main sources...
During the Ordovician–Silurian transition period, Yangtze area experienced significant environmental changes, which were recorded by widely distributed black shale of Upper Ordovician Wufeng and Lower Silurian Longmaxi formations. However, petrological geochemical analyses Ordovician-Lower in Well JY1 (eastern Sichuan Basin) YY2 (western Hubei Province) drill cores show that there are some differences with respect to lithology, thickness, characteristics despite long-term similar variation...
Coal is a complex, porous medium with pore structures of various sizes. Therefore, it difficult to accurately describe the characteristics structure by using traditional geometry method. The results from present investigation suggest that media system coal reservoir has obvious fractal at different scales. To study complexity pores in reservoir, 27 samples Guizhou, SW China were studied. dimensions calculated, and dimension can be classified into two types: percolation diffusion....
