Germanium halide perovskites are an attractive alternative to lead because of their well-suited optical properties for photovoltaic applications. However, the power conversion efficiencies solar cells based on germanium remained below 0.2% so far, and also, device stability is issue. Herein, we show that modifying chemical composition perovskite, i.e., introducing bromide ions into methylammonium iodide leads a significant improvement cell performance along with slight enhancement...
Activation energy for charge transport, carrier concentration and recombination rate are identified to strongly affect the device characteristics.
Abstract Prochiral bicyclic diketones were transformed to a single diastereomer of 3‐substituted cyclohexylamine derivatives via three consecutive biocatalytic steps. The two chiral centres set up by CC hydrolase (6‐oxocamphor hydrolase) in the first step and an ω‐transaminase last step. esterification intermediate keto acid was catalysed lipase second if possible. For substrates hydrolytic as well could be run simultaneously one‐pot cascade organic solvent. In one example, reaction mixture...
In this contribution, we present the synthesis and characterization of mixed-anion halogenobismuthate(III) (CH3NH3)6BiI5.22Cl3.78 (MBIC) as an alternative lead-free perovskite-type semiconductor, discuss its optical, electronic, photovoltaic properties in comparison to methylammonium bismuth iodide (CH3NH3)3Bi2I9 (MBI) compound. The exchange with chloride during leads formation orthorhombic A6BX9-type crystal structure ( Cmma, No. 67) isolated BiX6 octahedra interlayers. experimentally found...
A solar energy conversion system, an organic tandem cell, and electrochemical storage alkali metal-ion battery, were designed implemented in integrated hybrid photorechargeable battery for simultaneous storage. As a proof of concept, the power pack was successfully realized three-terminal assembly featuring two negative joint positive electrode. The device can be directly charged upon illumination (photocharging) discharged on external load many cycles. Aspects requirements related to...
In bulk-heterojunction solar cells, the device performance strongly depends on donor and acceptor properties, phase separation in absorber layer, formation of a bicontinuous network. While this is well explored for polymer:fullerene only little known polymer:nonfullerene cells. The main hurdle regard often chemical similarity conjugated polymer organic nonfullerene (NFA), which makes analysis via atomic force microscopic (AFM) images or conventional transmission electron microscopy...
Herein, we report the synthesis of a novel, tetrazine-based conjugated polymer. Tetrazines have benefit being strong electron acceptors, while little steric hindrance is imposed on flanking thiophene rings. Conversion suitably substituted nitrile precursor led to 3,6-bis(5-bromo-4-(2-octyldodecyl)thiophen-2-yl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (2OD-TTz). Palladium-catalyzed copolymerization 2OD-TTz with bithiophene monomer yielded an alternating tetrazine-quaterthiophene copolymer (PTz4T-2OD). The polymer...
Abstract The choice of the optimum combination materials for absorber layers, electrodes, as well interfacial layers is highly important to enhance further advances in field organic photovoltaics. Usually, these are assumed be stable under applied processing steps fabrication solar cells. Herein, tandem cells examined with fluorine‐containing consisting fluorinated polymer donor PTB7‐Th and indacenodithiophene‐type small molecule acceptor O‐IDTBR MoO 3 /Al/PFN‐Br recombination layer....
This study deals with the synthesis and thorough characterization of conjugated polymer T-EHPPD-T-EHBDT, which shows promising performance in polymer/non-fullerene acceptor organic solar cells.
Energy from renewable sources is considered today the only long-term viable solution to current energy crisis. Appropriate storage solutions, such as batteries, are, however, always required in systems since wind solar or tidal has an intermittent character. The efficiency of cells, irrespective type, steadily and significantly been improved past decade. Today, they are championed one most relevant conversion devices both academic political media. In a complete system, cells convert...
