BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Various techniques and materials have been used for the endovascular treatment of craniofacial high-flow arteriovenous vascular malformations, because their rarity precludes standardization treatment. The aim this retrospective review is to assess Onyx as primary embolic agent in these malformations. MATERIALS METHODS: Six patients with fistulas 3 malformations (AVMs) head neck region were treated intra-arterial (IA)/direct percutaneous injections Onyx....

We retrospectively reviewed the charts of patients with renal artery pseudoaneurysms (RAPs) to document their clinical presentation, surgical background, and outcome. In all, 7 1965 who underwent percutaneous stone surgery 3 25 laparoscopic nephron-sparing had a diagnosis RAP were treated accordingly. The most common symptom was hematuria, which classified as early or delayed according time mild, moderate, severe hemodynamics patient. In addition, angiographic images reviewed, correlation...

Bone grafts, used for providing structural integrity of cranial vault remodeling, could not always integrate with the remaining bone structures. All efforts are focused on increasing incorporation applied grafts. Allografts were covered by chitosan so that slow release morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) and Transforming growth factor-beta-2 (TGF-beta-2) was achieved. Two hundred forty Wistar-Albino rats distributed equally in 8 study groups. Study groups designed as; defect group, autograft...

We aimed to determine whether the C-arm computed tomography (CT) blood volume (BV) imaging of hepatic tumors performed with a new prototype software is capable measuring BV changes in response arterial treatments and validate these quantitative measurements commercially available multidetector (MDCT) perfusion software.A total 34 patients who underwent either radioembolization (RE, n=21) or transarterial chemoembolization (TACE, n=13) were included study. Using by Siemens Healthcare, 74 CT...

To determine the outcomes of partial splenic embolization (PSE) for massive splenomegaly due to idiopathic portal hypertension (IPH).In this prospective study, we evaluated characteristics and prognosis consecutive patients with IPH who underwent PSE all indications at a single medical center between June 2009 January 2015. The inclusion criteria were: presence hypersplenism, splenomegaly, resultant pancytopenia. exclusion other diseases causing hypertension. During post-PSE period, were...

Radiation doses for interventional examinations are generally high and therefore necessitate dose monitoring patients staff. Relating the staff to a patient index, such as dose-area product (DAP), could be quite useful comparisons. In this study, DAP skin of 57 patients, who underwent neurointerventional examinations, were measured simultaneously with doses. Although comparable literature data, higher values 215 188.6 Gy cm2 therapeutical cerebral carotid respectively, owing use biplane...

Abstract Central venous catheters in hemodialysis patients may result superior vena cava (SVC) syndrome. With the increasing use of these catheters, SVC syndrome will probably be more common among patients. This report describes 3 cases due to central that developed with previous multiple catheter placements.

Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate efficiency embolotherapy in management retroperitoneal bleedings. Methods: A total 16 patients with bleeding who underwent angiography followed by transcatheter embolization within a 4‐year period single centre were reviewed retrospectively. Electronic charts as well procedural reports assess immediate angiographic findings and results embolization. Results: Computed tomography carried out eight patients. All computed scans showed haematoma....

Spontaneous, isolated focal renal artery dissection is an extremely rare cause of renovascular hypertension. Imaging technology for the arteries has evolved recently with development multidetector computed tomography angiography (CTA), and intravascular ultrasound. We describe a 52-year-old man spontaneous complicated by hypertension, successfully diagnosed initially CTA, then evaluated ultrasound, finally, treated stenting.
