TiO2 nanofibers were prepared within polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) polymer using a combination of sol–gel and electrospinning techniques. Based on Taguchi design experiment (DoE) method, the effects TiO2/PVP nanofibers’ diameter, including titanium isopropoxide (TiP) concentration, flow rate, needle tip-to-collector distance, applied voltage evaluated. The analysis DoE experiments for nanofiber diameters demonstrated that TiP concentration was most significant factor. An optimum to obtain...

In this study, an examination on the spectral, microstructural, and magnetic characteristics of Eu-Nd double-substituted Ba0.5Sr0.5Fe12O19 hexaferrites (Ba0.5Sr0.5NdxEuxFe12-2xO19 (x = 0.00-0.05) HFs) fabricated by ultrasonic-assisted approach has been presented. An UZ SONOPULS HD 2070 ultrasonic homogenizer with frequency 20 kHz power 70 W was used. The chemical bonding, structure morphology products were evaluated Fourier-Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Spectroscopy, XRD (X-ray diffraction),...

The characteristics of the X-ray attenuation in electrospun nano(n)- and micro(m)-Bi2O3/polylactic acid (PLA) nanofibre mats with different Bi2O3 loadings were compared as a function energy using mammography (i.e. tube voltages 22-49 kV) absorption spectroscopy (XAS) (7-20 keV). Results indicate that by n-Bi2O3/PLA is distinctly higher than m-Bi2O3/PLA at all energies investigated. In addition, increasing filler loading (n-Bi2O3 or m-Bi2O3), porosity decreased, thus attenuation, except for...

Graphite nanoplatelets (GNPs) were produced from flake graphite that had been immersed in isopropyl alcohol solution (70%) and converted to powder form an ultrasonic bath (5 h, room temperature). Scanning transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometry, Raman spectroscopy identified 120-nm-thick GNP crystallites 0.5–21 µm plates with different areas shapes. Extensive exfoliation was observed by microscopy abundant multilayer some monolayer GNPs. diffractometry...

Graphene is often referred to as bi-, tri- or few-layered (4 10 layers), despite it being single-layered. Two commercial graphite samples (G and GE) three graphene (G1, G2, G3) were characterized by Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometry atomic force microscopy. The structural similarities differences between compared with literature information. A mixture of hexagonal (2H) rhombohedral (3R) phases identified in G1, G3, GE diffraction. observed differ from...

Silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) can easily cross through the blood-testis barrier and encourage reproductive dysfunction. This study investigated protective effects of yttrium oxide (YO-NPs) on sexual behavior spermatotoxicity induced by Ag-NPs in male mice. Twenty-four mice were separated into four groups injected intraperitoneally once a week as following: group I (Ag-NPs at dose 40 mg/kg), II (YO-NPs III (Ag + YO NPs doses mg/kg, each) IV (control; distilled water). After 35 days...

Erbium nickel-ferrite (NiErxFe2−xO4 where 0.00 ≤ x 0.05) nanofibers were prepared by a sol–gel electrospinning process utilizing polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) polymer (MW: 40.000). Nanofibers of as-electrospun with erbium substitution calcinated in air at 700 °C for 6 h. After calcination, microscopy analysis indicated uneven nanofiber surfaces that formed from grains. An increase concentration the structure yielded an lattice parameters and cell volume, but decrease crystallite size. Elemental...
