The use of body-powered prostheses can be tiring and lead to further problems with compliance prosthetic restoration. Brain-Computer-Interfaces (BCI) offers a mean controlling for patients that otherwise are unable operate such devices due physical limitations. An issue BCIs is they tend either require invasive recording methods, posing surgical risk, or work by generating control signals from not task related brain activity patterns as right vs. left hand, hand leg visual stimulation...
Structural topology optimization, a critical aspect of engineering design in aerospace, mechanical, and civil engineering, seeks to discover the ideal physical structure for optimizing mechanical performance, particularly, 3D structures. In recent times, Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) autoencoders have gained popularity as an alternative traditional iterative optimization methods. However, these models often pose challenges terms training, exhibit limited generalizability, prioritize...
In recent years, an individual under the pseudonym of Satoshi Nakamoto devised a revolutionary technology called blockchain as engine behind first decentralized virtual currency Bitcoin. A radical concept departing from government-centric controlled currencies, Bitcoin has emerged disruptive with power to revolutionize business and its processes. Advantages include control, immutability, elimination central authority solution concurrency problems in traditional databases. Leveraging on...

This uses coincidence detection (CD) strategy trained supervised...
Automated security systems are a useful addition for today's home where safety is essential. Vision-based have the greater advantages over traditional such as using lock, observing by guard, alarm signal etc. This paper proposed an integrated dual-level vision-based system, which consists of two subsystems - a) movement detection and b) hand verification system. The primary technique used to detect any first system verifies authorized person secured place. It will check threshold value if...
Many research works have proven the superiority of Gabor Wavelets as a feature descriptor for face classification compared to other methods. However, most implementations used some commonly values parameters and we proposed that performance Gabor-based recognition can be improved by proper optimization parameters. Here in this paper Ant Colony Optimization find optimal value several - step frequency, maximum frequency σ produced accuracy. Additionally, due high complexity wavelets...
This paper discussed the recognition of human gait for both frontal and oblique view based on orthogonal least square (OLS) as feature selection Multi-Layer perceptron (MLP) classifier. Firstly, kinect sensor was used to acquire several frames in view. Next, extraction is conducted via skeleton joint point 3D space known direct-gait (D-G) feature. Further, performed identifying significant D-G features using OLS labeled OLS-G features. Then, effectiveness their evaluated neural network...
The sparse Gaussian process regression (GPR) has been used to model trajectory data from Real time kinematics-global navigation satellite system (RTK-GNSS). However, upon scrutinizing the residuals; GPR poorly fits and exhibits presence of correlated noise. This work attempts address these issues by proposing an integrated modeling approach called GPR-LR-ARIMA where was with linear autoregressive moving average errors (LR-ARIMA) further enhance description data. In this approach, predicted...
The Event Data Recorder (EDR) is an important device in a vehicle that can be used to analyze accidents. EDRs record and store crucial sensor data before, during, after accidents, which reconstructing accident events. EDR has been regulated the US UK; however, its implementation ASEAN region, especially Malaysia, relatively new. In this study, survey conducted investigate perception of Malaysians toward EDR. There are three focuses survey: (1) public's awareness EDR's existence; (2) their...
Recognition of human gait could be performed effectively provided that significant features are well extracted along with effective recognition process. Thus, the should selected or optimized appropriately for optimal accuracy during recognition. Therefore, in this research, optimization both oblique and frontal view evaluated purpose using Locally Linear Embedded (LLE) multi-class Support Vector Machine (SVM).Firstly, dynamic one cycle from each subject's walking is acquired Kinect...
This study investigates the potential of gait features as human recognition. Firstly, skeleton joints twenty subjects obtained from Kinect are extracted and further selected using optimized locally linear embedded approach. Next, multi-layer perceptron support vector machine employed classifiers. Result showed that combination with K=100 d=94 regularization parameter C=0.001 kernel attained highest accuracy rate in frontal view specifically 96.50% 94 features.
<span>This study investigates the potential gait features that are related to human recognition using orthogonal least square (OLS). Firstly, video of 30 subjects walking in oblique view was recorded Kinect. Next, all 20 skeleton joints 3D space were extracted and further selected OLS. Additionally, SVM with linear, polynomial radial basis function (RBF) kernel used classify features. As consequences, OLS proven be able identify significant three kernels since accuracy attained is...
