Every endosseous dental implant is dependent on an adequate amount and quality of peri-implant hard soft tissues their fully functional interaction. The could fail in cases insufficient bone or due to a violation the shoulder interface with arising secondary loss.To overcome this biological weak-spot, we designed new that allows for multi vector anchorage around individual underlying bone, which has be scanned by computed tomography (CT) Cone beam CT (CBCT) technique allow planning implant....
Abstract Although implants have undergone a remarkable development over the past decades, modern still show complications that make improvement of materials necessary. The presented study investigates load-bearing capacity an experimental dental implant made niobium alloy (Nb1Zr) compared to identical Ti6Al4V using chewing simulation for artificial aging. Eight each with design were manufactured from Nb1Zr and Ti6Al4V. A standardized abutment was fabricated screwed into screw same material....
Since their introduction, implant-supported dentures have gained increasing popularity and are associated with high expectations. Nevertheless, as other invasive procedures, implant treatment involves post-surgical risks well the risk of long-term complications. The present study aimed at exploring patients' experiences entire trajectory dental implant-treatment, to reach a profound understanding perception course journey from tooth loss living dentures. single-site employed an exploratory,...
Despite lockdown measures, intense symptom-based PCR, and antigen testing, the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic spread further. In this open observational study conducted in Lower Saxony, Germany, voluntary PCR tests were performed from April 2020 until June 2021, supported by serum antibody testing to prove whether subjects with none or few symptoms of COVID-19 is a suitable tool manage pandemic. different mobile stations, 4,817 three working fields participated testing. Serum screening using ViraChip...
Plasma activation of hydrophobic zirconia surfaces might be suitable to improve the bond strength luting materials. The aim this study was analyze influence nonthermal argon-plasma on shear (SBS) between and different combinations 10-MDP adhesive systems composites after artificial aging. Two hundred forty Y-TZP specimens were ground automatically with 165 µm grit water cooling. Half received surface argon-plasma. evenly distributed into three groups according ([Futurabond U, Futurabond M, M...
The COVID-19 pandemic affects students in a myriad of different ways. Our prospective, longitudinal study cohort Hannover, Germany explores behavioral patterns during escalating restrictions. In total, 777 between the age 9 and 20 were assessed for their activity engagement, travel patterns, self-assessed compliance with protective recommendations at six time points June 2020 2021 (3,564 observations) monitored severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection by nasal swab polymerase...
In literature, many studies compare survival rates of different types FPDs.Most them compared restorations, which originated from one university, but clinicians.Data about restoration by only experienced dentist are very rare. The aim this study was to evaluate the rate allceramic FPDs without blurring effects clinicians.MATERIALS AND METHODS.153 veneeredzirconia were observed for follow-up.22 patients received 131 single crowns and 22 bridges.Because bridge lengths, unit defined as a...
The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic has created a public crisis. Many medical and institutions businesses went into isolation in response to the pandemic. Because SARS-CoV-2 can spread irrespective of patient's course disease, these institutions' continued operation or reopening based on assessment control virus be supported by targeted population screening. For this purpose, testing form polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis antibody detection blood...
Fractures, occlusal adjustments, or marginal corrections after removing excess composite cements result in rough surfaces of all-ceramic FPDs. These have to be polished prevent damage the surrounding tissues. The aim this study was evaluate roughness zirconia, silicate-ceramic, and polish with different systems for intraoral use. Each set 50 plates made composite. All were ground automatically divided into 15 groups according treatment. Groups Zgrit, Sgrit, Cgrit received no further Zlab Slab...
Temperature increase of 5.5 ℃ can cause damage or necrosis the pulp. Increasing temperature be caused not only by mechanical factors, e.g. grinding, but also exothermic polymerization reactions resin materials. The aim this study was to evaluate influences form material on intrapulpal during different self-curing materials for temporary restorations.30 provisonal bridges were made 5 materials: Prevision Temp (Pre), Protemp 4 (Pro), Luxatemp Star (Lux), Structure 3 (Str) and an experimental...
Many metallic implant materials, such as Ti–6Al–4V, contain elements that are now considered to be critical and have high Young's modulus compared the human bone, leading stress shielding. Nb–1Zr alloys, which free of toxic feature closer present a promising alternative. The study investigates co‐extrusion biocompatible powder for potential use in dental implants. A process chain coextrude into solid body was developed, focusing on eliminating core fractures reducing void fraction....
This study aimed to investigate adhesive shear bond strength (SBS) on an ultrafine-grained niobium alloy (UFG-Nb) that is a potential dental implant material. SBS of three systems combined with composites UFG-Nb was compared corresponding Ti-6Al-4V and zirconia. Specimens the substrates UFG-Nb, zirconia plane surfaces were sandblasted Al
Introduction Modular hip implants enables a more precise adaptation of the prosthesis to patient’s anatomy. However, they also carry risk increased revision rates due micromotion at taper junction. In order minimize this risk, one potential solution is establish an adhesive bond between metal junctions. Load-stable bonding techniques, already successfully employed in dentistry for connecting materials such as metals and ceramics or different alloys, offer promising approach. Nevertheless,...
Studies about success of FPDs (fixed partial dentures) mostly include restorations built by different clinicians. This results in limited comparability the data. The aim this study was to evaluate complications all-ceramic 1 dentist between 2011 2023.
In dieser In-vitro-Studie wurde der Einfluss künstlicher Alterung auf die Verbundstabilität zwischen ZrO2-Keramik und Komposit nach Konditionierung mit einem ZrO2-Primer untersucht.
