In recent years, there has been extensive utilization of actuators driven by artificial muscles in wearable devices. However, the muscle distribution configurations most devices have specifically designed and are difficult to generalize. Consequently, that allow direct installation onto existing clothing better suited for a wider range application scenarios. This letter presents development evaluation Funabot-Suit, human configuration inspired assist device employs McKibben induce natural...

Aerobic methane-oxidizing bacteria (MOB) play an important role in mitigating methane emissions from paddy fields. In this study, we developed a differential quantification method for the copy number of pmoA genes type Ia, Ib, and IIa MOB field soil using chip-based digital PCR. Three probes specific to worked well PCR when genomic DNA isolates PCR-amplified fragments were examined as templates. When surface layer flooded quantified by PCR, numbers 105 -106 , 107 copies g-1 dry soil,...

All-solid-state batteries (ASSBs) are a promising response to the need for safety and high energy density of large-scale storage systems in challenging applications such as electric vehicles grid integration. ASSBs based on sulfide solid electrolytes (SEs) have attracted much attention because their ionic conductivity wide electrochemical windows SEs. Here, we study performance using composite electrodes prepared via two processes (simple mixture solution processes) varying conductor...

In this letter, we propose to turn various existing cloths, especially functional into actuators by combined embroidery technology and thin McKibben artificial muscles. Most of the textile sensors so far are made weaving active yarns each other or base cloths. These devices have a limited choice cloths that can be actuated. We create prototypical actuator deformed in three dimensions using muscles techniques on cloth used for hook-and-loop fasteners textiles observe pressure. Our...

The purpose of this study was to compare changes in soft tissue with those hard following orthognathic surgery patients showing mandibular prognathism facial asymmetry and clarify the rate change using reconstructed 3D-CT images. The subjects comprised four diagnosed as treated byorthognathic two-jaw surgery. Pre- posttreatment CT images were taken data for precise diagnosis all subjects. After reconstruction 3D software Volume Extractor, both tissues pre- post-treatment exported measurement...

In recent years, there has been a growing demand for teleoperation in immersive spaces. Users wear head-mounted display the spaces to obtain visual information from all directions. However, they often lose sight of target object owing large amount obtained information. Therefore, this study proposes novel system physically guide user's gaze without using by fabric actuator suit. A fitting algorithm is implemented proposed suit along with pressure control method and subject experiments are...

Recent increase of advanced appliances at home requires lots user's operations for setting them in a desired state. Although many have been developed which can adapt to the state room and person, they are mainly based on simple values such as temperature. More intelligent assistance will be needed controlling electronic TV or an audio system. This paper describes method modeling human activities predicting appliances. We experimental system with furniture The observes motions appliance...

Laminar-to-turbulent transition in the swept flat plate boundary layer is result of crossflow vortex collapse due to high-frequency secondary instabilities. The process complicatedly influenced by disturbances induced both wall roughness and freestream turbulence. We investigated turbulent caused interaction between unsteady fluctuations free-stream turbulence stationary vortices generated elements a layer, means direct numerical simulation. found that short-wavelength promotes without...

The title compound, C(26)H(22)O(4), is a derivative of 1,4-bis-(phenyl-ethyn-yl)benzene substituted by four meth-oxy groups on the terminal benzene rings. mol-ecule almost planar with an r.m.s. deviation 0.266 Å. dihedral angles between two rings and central ring are 7.96 (6) 13.32 (7)°. In crystal structure, mol-ecules aggregate via C-H⋯O inter-actions, forming mol-ecular tapes along axis, which to form herring-bone structure.
