C–N cross-coupling is one of the most valuable and widespread transformations in organic synthesis. Largely dominated by Pd- Cu-based catalytic systems, it has proven to be a staple transformation for those both academia industry. The current study presents development mechanistic understanding an electrochemically driven, Ni-catalyzed method achieving this reaction high strategic importance. Through series electrochemical, computational, kinetic, empirical experiments, key features have...

Tetrachloro-N-hydroxyphthalimide tetramethyluronium hexafluorophosphate (CITU) is disclosed as a convenient and economical reagent for both acylation decarboxylative cross-coupling chemistries. Within the former set of reactions, CITU displays reactivity similar to that common coupling reagents, but with increased safety reduced cost. latter, yields, more rapid conversion, simplified procedure are possible across range reported transformations.

ABSTRACT Analysis of existing lifespan‐extending geroprotective compounds suggested that polypharmacological are the most effective geroprotectors, specifically those bind multiple biogenic amine receptors. To test this hypothesis, we used graph neural networks to predict geroprotectors and evaluated them in Caenorhabditis elegans . Over 70% selected extended lifespan, with effect sizes top 5% compared all recorded DrugAge database. Thus, our study reveals rationally designing enables design...

Recent work has revealed an increasingly important role for mRNA translation in maintaining proteostasis. Here, we use chemical inhibitors targeting discrete steps of to compare how lowering the concentration all or only initiation-dependent proteins rescues Caenorhabditis elegans from proteotoxic stress. We systematically challenge proteostasis and show that pharmacologically inhibiting initiation elongation elicits a distinct protective profile. Inhibiting protects heat proteasome...

Achiral N9-benzylguanine derivatives with alkene moieties attached to the benzyl group were synthesized intent of targeting a covalently linked unimolecular quadruplex using olefin cross-metathesis. Three N9-(3,5-bis(alkenyloxy)benzyl)-guanine and shown form stable G-quartet structures in presence central cation. Upon addition K+, guanine derivative, N9-(3,5-Bis(pent-4-en-1-yloxy)benzyl)-guanine, self-assembled into discrete [G]12-dodecamer structure. Keywords: Guanine, benzylguanine, DNA,...

Abstract Recent work has revealed an increasingly important role for mRNA translation in maintaining proteostasis. Inhibiting protects from various proteostatic insults, including heat, expression of aggregation-prone proteins, or aging. However, multiple studies have come to differing conclusions about the mechanisms underlying protective effects inhibition. Here, we systematically lower either by pharmacologically inhibiting initiation elongation and show that each step activates distinct...
