Abstract For the Adaptive Dropped Hinge Flap (ADHF), there exists a gap between spoiler and fixed wing when is deflected, which affects aerodynamic characteristics of airplane. Numerical simulations are conducted on multi-segment wings with deflected spoiler, focusing effects around airfoils deflection. The results show that drooped has significant influence lift drag, reducing line slope linear segment, decreasing maximum coefficient. Also, presence causes stall angle attack to decrease....

Abstract In this paper, the influence of Reynolds number on buffeting characteristics horizontal tail a civil aircraft is investigated through CFD analysis and wind tunnel testing, providing valuable insights for aerodynamic structural strength design tails in aircraft. The results indicate that vibration response structure driven by separated flow from main wing as well tail’s own flow. While significantly affects root mean square value buffet loads surface response, it has no substantial...

The embedded discrete fracture model (EDFM) has been popular for the modeling of fractured reservoirs due to its flexibility and efficiency while maintaining complex geometry networks. Though EDFM validated single-phase flow simulations, some recent cases show that might result in apparent errors multiphase situations. projection-based (pEDFM) integrally (IEDFM) are two recently developed methods, which intend improve accuracy EDFM. In this study, a (pIEDFM) is proposed, combines advantages...

The embedded discrete fracture model (EDFM), among different flow simulation models, achieves a good balance between efficiency and accuracy. In the EDFM, micro-scale fractures that cannot be characterized individually need to homogenized into matrix, which may bring anisotropy matrix. However, simplified matrix–fracture fluid exchange assumption makes it difficult for EDFM address anisotropic flow. this paper, an integrally (iEDFM) suitable formations is proposed. Structured mesh employed...

The effect of geomechanics is crucial in the modeling fractured reservoirs since fractures can be more stress-sensitive than rock matrix. In reservoirs, microscale are often homogenized into matrix continuum leading to permeability anisotropy. embedded discrete fracture model (EDFM) becoming increasingly popular for numerical simulation and has been successfully employed coupled flow systems. However, anisotropic cannot considered traditional EDFM. An approach proposed considering...
