The adsorption of surfactants (DTAB, SDS, and CAPB) at the calcite-water interface was studied through surface zeta potential measurements multiscale molecular dynamics. ground-state polarization proved to be a key factor for observed behavior; correlation found between hard or soft charge distribution amphiphile. SDS exhibits steep aggregation profile, reaching saturation showing classic ionic-surfactant behavior. In contrast, DTAB CAPB featured diversified profiles, suggesting interplay...

A free‐radical inverse emulsion polymerization formulation has been developed for preparation of acrylamide (AAm)/sodium 2‐acrylamido‐2‐methylpropanesulfonate (AMPSNa)/ N ‐vinylpyrrolidone (VP) terpolymers. An aqueous solution a blend monomers is emulsified in n ‐decane using Tween 85 (Tw85). Ammonium persulfate (APS) and dicumyl peroxide (DCP) were used as initiators water oil phases, respectively. The reactions catalyzed by temperature redox pair; the former achieved at 60°C latter adding...

Abstract A mathematical model for polymerization kinetics and molar mass development in the nitroxide‐mediated (NMP) of vinyl monomers supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO 2 ) has been developed. The method moments is used development. perturbed‐chain statistical associating fluid theory (PC‐SAFT) equation state to estimate number stable phases present at equilibrium reaction mixture, critical average chain length which polymer particles are formed, monomer concentration each phase. A lignin-graft-(net-poly(acrylamide-co-N,N′methylenebisacrylamide)) copolymer was synthesized by conventional free-radical crosslinking copolymerization using and microwave heating. Grafting of the polymer network onto lignin confirmed Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM)/energy dispersive (EDS), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), elemental analysis. The performance modified materials for removal lead from water...
