Determining the optimal number of hidden nodes is most challenging aspect Artificial Neural Network (ANN) design. To date, there are still no reliable methods determining this a priori, as it depends on so many domain-specific factors. Current which take these into account, such exhaustive search, growing and pruning evolutionary algorithms not only inexact, but also extremely time consuming -- in some cases prohibitively so. A novel approach embodied system called Heurix introduced. This...
Two-hidden layer feedforward neural networks (TLFNs) have been shown to outperform single-hidden-layer (SLFNs) for function approximation in many cases. However, their added complexity makes them more difficult find.Given a constant number of hidden nodes n h , this paper investigates how allocation between the first and second layers (n = 1 + 2 ) affects likelihood finding best generaliser. The experiments were carried out over total ten public domain datasets with 8 16.The findings that...
The aim of this study was to demonstrate the effectiveness an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) for prediction diesel spray penetration length in cylinder a internal combustion engine. technique involved extraction necessary representative features from collection raw image data. A comparative evaluation two fuzzy-derived techniques modelling fuel is described. first model implemented using conventional fuzzy-based paradigm, where human expertise and operator knowledge were used...
This paper presents the production process and results of investigations into microstructure magnetic properties epoxy-bonded iron–gallium (Galfenol) particulate composites. The manufactured composites consist powdered Fe80Ga20 alloy particles three different size distributions (ranging from 20 to 200 μm), bonded in an epoxy matrix with a filling factor 0.80. is defined as ratio volume Fe–Ga powder total composite's constituents.
This paper features investigations into the inuence of small additions alloying elements on: structure, as well temporal and thermal stability magnetic properties, disaccommodation eect, for following amorphous alloys: Fe61Co10Y8Me1B20 (where Me = Nb, W).The structure investigated samples has been conrmed by Mössbauer spectroscopy. The obtained results indicate a strong correlation between studied alloys. The studies reveal dierent congurations atoms in alloy samples, various potential...
Abstract The paper presents the results of structural and magnetic properties thermal stability for a group functional materials based on Fe 61 Co 10 Zr 2.5 Hf Me 2 W B 20 (where = Mo, Nb, Ni or Y). Samples were obtained in form ribbons using melt-spinning method. X-ray diffraction patterns investigated samples confirmed their amorphous structure. Based analysis DSC curves characteristic temperatures: glass forming temperature (T g ), crystallization x ) range supercooled liquid ΔT...
Precise control of an internal combustion engine for the reduction exhaust emissions benefits substantially from accurate measurement air–fuel or λ ratio. This paper describes use spark plug as a sensor. The time-varying spark-voltage profile is acquired and used to train neural network. network able estimate Minimal additional instrumentation required. Therefore, this method potentially provides cheap robust sensor measuring work described here involved devising appropriate data acquisition...
Abstract This article will compare two different fuzzy-derived techniques for controlling small internal combustion engine and modeling fuel spray penetration in the cylinder of a diesel engine. The first case study is implemented using conventional fuzzy-based paradigm, where human expertise operator knowledge were used to select parameters system. second an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS), automatic adjustment affected by neural networks based on prior knowledge. ANFIS model...
The structure of amorphous alloys still has not been described satisfactorily due to the lack direct methods for observing structural defects. magnetizing process is closely related its disordered structure. sensitivity magnetization vector any heterogeneity allows indirect assessment ferromagnetic alloys. In strong magnetic fields, involves rotation a around point and line Based on analysis primary curves, it possible identify type these This paper presents results research into that are...
Abstract Control of the formation process amorphous materials, and lowering their internal energy as a result atomic transition through subsequent potential barriers describing metastable states, represent direct factors in designing functional properties these modern materials. This paper presents results tests carried out on group four alloys: Fe 62- x Co 10 Y 8 Me B 20 (where: = Cr, Be or Cu; 0 1), obtained by suction-casting method. The bulk samples were form plates thickness 0.5 mm....
Small spark-ignition gasoline-fuelled internal-combustion engines can be found all over the world performing in various roles including power generation, agricultural applications and motive for small boats. To attain low cost, these are typically air-cooled, use simple carburettors to regulate fuel supply, employ magneto ignition systems. Electronic control, of sort automotive engines, has seldom proved cost-effective with engines. However, future trend towards that have levels polluting...
