Abstract: The objective of this work was to compare the performance nonlinear Gompertz, logistic, and von Bertalanffy equations, describe growth curve immunocastrated male pigs from birth until reaching 140 kg body weight. Standard error, number iterations, mean square coefficient determination were compared between models. logistic equations do not accurately estimate initial slaughter weights.
