The agropastoral communities of Coquimbo, Chile, are characterised by their goat herding-based livelihoods, admixed ancestry, and transhumant mobility. To explore the impact these features on genetic diversity interactions with neighbouring populations. Genotypic polymorphisms 15 STRs were analysed in 466 individuals from communities. Forensic parameters estimated. Genetic structure was assessed using RST, Nei's distances, MDS, dendrograms, STRUCTURE, 23 reference populations South America...
Abstract Objectives Northern Chile is an area characterized by a complex cultural and demographic trajectory. During the last few centuries, this trajectory has become destination of intra‐ intercontinental migratory waves. In study, we analyzed Y chromosome to evaluate how admixture patterns have affected genetic composition populations in northern compared with other country.
