Ovarian torsion is twisting of the ovary around ligaments that support it. It a rare, but an important gynecological emergency. Detorsion surgically preferred in patients to preserve fertility. detorsion causes tissue damage response excessive reactive oxygen species and accumulation activated neutrophils. In this review, antioxidant anti-inflammatory agents have been investigated literature prevent ovarian injury due oxidative stress are summarised.
