The present study examines the use of pier slots and collars for reducing local scour at bridge piers. efficacy slots, different lengths angles attack, was studied through experiments. reduction due to placement circular collars, sizes elevations, also investigated. Analysis data from experiments as well earlier studies led an equation maximum depth around piers fitted with collars. applies uniform-sized sediment in clear-water flow.

This article deals with the numerical simulation of cracked plate using extended isogeometric analysis (XIGA) under different loads and boundary conditions. The formulation is done first-order shear deformation theory. crack faces are modeled by Heaviside function, whereas singularity in stress field at tip enrichment functions. intensity factors for numerically computed a domain-based interaction integral. results obtained XIGA center edge compared finite element method and/or literature types

Flume experiments have been carried out under clear water scour conditions to analyze the maximum equilibrium depth and processes in armored streambeds. A total of 85 using different diameters circular piers non-uniform gravels. graphical approach for dimensionless condition around pier streambeds has developed. As per this curve, variation with armor particle size depends on densimetric Froude number (Frd50), decreasing rate decreases value Frd50.

Abstract TLC and HPLC methods were developed for indirect chiral separation of penicillamine (3,3‐dimethylcysteine) enantiomers after derivatization with Marfey's reagent (FDNP‐Ala‐NH 2 ) two its structural variants, FDNP‐Phe‐NH FDNP‐Val‐NH . The binary mobile phase phenol–water (3:1 v/v) solvent combinations acetonitrile triethylamine phosphate buffer found to give the best in normal reversed‐phase TLC, respectively. diastereomers also resolved on a C18 column gradient elution 0.01 m...

Abstract A high‐performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method was developed for chiral assay of baclofen enantiomers in pharmaceutical formulations using an indirect approach. Baclofen were derivatized with Marfey's reagent (FDNP‐ l ‐Ala‐NH 2 ) and its structural variants FDNP‐ ‐Phe‐NH , ‐Val‐NH ‐Leu‐NH ‐Pro‐NH . The resultant diastereomers separated on RP‐TLC [triethylammonium phosphate buffer (pH 4.0, 50 m )–acetonitrile, 50:50] a C 18 column linear gradient (45 min) acetonitrile 0.01%...

Two new structural variants of Marfey's reagent (1-fluoro-2,4-dinitrophenyl-5-l-alaninamide, FDNP-l-Ala-NH2) were synthesized by nucleophilic substitution one fluorine atom in 1,5-difluoro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (DFDNB) l-methioninamide or d-phenylglycinamide. The FDNP-l-Met-NH2 and FDNP-d-Phg-NH2 characterized used for derivatization twenty-six α-amino acids. resulting diastereomeric derivatives separated on a reversed-phase C18 HPLC column using linear gradient acetonitrile aqueous...

IntroductionArtificial Intelligence (AI) can be defined as constructing computer programs that (i) are capable of exhibiting intelligence, (ii) exhibit intelligence by using processes used humans for the same tasks, and (iii) complementing or supplementing human (Simon, 1995). As Epstein said (2015), "Although original vision artificial

<title>Abstract</title> Groundwater irrigation supports over 40% of global crop production and stabilizes yields amidst climatic change. Yet, over-abstraction can cause water scarcity, disrupt ecosystems, increase greenhouse gas emissions. Governments international financial institutions have made significant investments in sustainable groundwater but require enhanced spatial targeting to impact. In response, this study employs an agro-hydrological machine-learning approach analyze patterns...
