Object The use of intracranial stents in stent-assisted coil embolization is now a current neurosurgical practice worldwide. clinical utility these the sole stenting (SS) technique, however, has not been thoroughly described, and published reports this experience are scarce. This study was designed to evaluate SS treatment dissecting nondissecting aneurysms posterior circulation. Methods prospective descriptive conducted 20 consecutive patients who harbored single circulation were treated...

So-called direct carotid-cavernous fistulas (CCFs) are commonly treated by detachable balloons or coils to occlude the shunt while sparing carotid artery. Liquid embolic agents have been rarely used, and in particular, authors' knowledge, use of Onyx as sole agent has never reported an indexed publication. The authors describe a case series 5 patients with posttraumatic CCF whom embolization was prospectively used strategy management.Complete occlusion obtained at end procedure 4 cases,...

Abstract OBJECTIVE AND IMPORTANCE: Vertebrobasilar aneurysms have a risk of rupture ranging from 2.5 to 50% (especially those larger than 7 mm) and repeat bleeding rate between 30 70%. For this reason, patients with mm should be treated. Considering the high complexity surgical approaches in area, an increasing number reported cases are being treated endovascular therapy. The purpose article is determine effectiveness safety sole stenting bypass treatment three consecutive vertebrobasilar...

✓ The authors report on the case of a 38-year-old woman who had experienced incapacitating pulsatile tinnitus in left ear for 6 months. Angiographic studies revealed wide-necked venous aneurysm transverse—sigmoid sinus. Solitary stent placement across neck resulted slight modification lesion's characteristics. A second session, which embolization with Guglielmi Detachable Coils was performed, 100% occlusion aneurysm, patency parent vessel and resolution tinnitus.

✓ Vascular complications after percutaneous injection procedures for relief of trigeminal neuralgia are varied, ranging from puncture arterial or venous structures to carotid-cavernous fistulas. The authors present a patient in whom an external carotid artery fistula occurred microcompression procedure the treatment left-sided neuralgia. We describe the case of a 59-year-old female presenting with disabling pulsatile tinnitus caused by venous aneurysm sigmoid sinus. This is first successful sole stenting, using closed-cell design in central part stent, leading to occlusion and cure tinnitus. Venous aneurysms dural sinuses are rare causes stenting technique provides simpler, safe, effective approach.

However, reported cases associated with cerebral aneurysms are rare. A 33-year-old female presented an extremely rare PPTA-basilar (PPTA-BA) aneurysm manifesting as subarachnoid hemorrhage. Computed tomography revealed bleeding in prepontine cistern, and angiography disclosed PPTA-BA aneurysm. The was managed stent-assisted coiling...
