Methanol adsorption into the porous 2D bimetallic coordination network {[Ni(cyclam)]3[W(CN)8]2}n (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) causes significant modification of its structure and magnetic properties. Fully reversible transformations between three states network: anhydrous, hydrated methanol-modified are observed with transition to ordered state at Tc equal 4.9 K, 8.3 K 11.4 respectively. All phases have a metamagnetic character but one most easily turns ferromagnetic shows...

Abstract X‐ray diffraction measurements were carried out on nine members of the isothiocyanatobiphenyl homologous series (nBT) in their smectic E (SmE) phase, with aim estimating layer thickness and deriving orthorhombic unit cell parameters for SmE phase. The data obtained are discussed relation to molecular reorientation motion around short axis that Keywords: diffractionsmectic phasepacking parametermolecular Acknowledgements Financial support from Polish Ministry Sciences grant no. 1...

Using a polyamine cation tetrenH55+ (tetren = tetraethylenepentaamine), we tailored the dynamic layered material (tetrenH5)1.6{CoII(H2O)2[MIV(CN)8]}4·xH2O (1, M W, x 12; 2, Mo, 11.2). 1 and 2 consist of strongly corrugated two-dimensional (2D) cyano-bridged monolayers {CoII(H2O)2[MIV(CN)8]}n2n– square grid topology stacked in an alternate manner with cationic layers H2O molecules. The observed single-crystal-to-single-crystal (SCSC) transformation is due to reversible dehydration respective...
