Currently, no medicine has demonstrated efficacy in treating the ongoing pandemic COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus. Being a potent oxidant, ozone is lethal against most bacteria and viruses found water, or on surfaces aerosols. Ozone also been successfully used to treat several viral diseases such as Ebola HIV Hepatitis B C. Using molecular modeling, this study evaluated reactivity of toward representative key molecules structure SARS-CoV-2. The results show that able attack proteins...

This study evaluated the inactivation of SARS-CoV-2, virus responsible for COVID-19, by ozone using grown in cell culture media either dried on surfaces (plastic, glass, stainless steel, copper, and coupons ambulance seat floor) or suspended liquid. Treatment liquid reduced SARS-CoV-2 at a rate 0.92 ± 0.11 log

Abstract BACKGROUND Water contaminated by heavy metals has many negative impacts on human health and the environment. According to UN's sustainable development goals, preserving natural resources will have positive living conditions reducing diseases. In this study, a novel adsorbent synthesized from phosphate‐based geopolymer cement composite material was developed evaluated for lead removal aqueous solutions. The is made using facile protocol, thus it suitable both developing countries....

A new approach to treat oily steelworks wastewater using a natural coagulant is reported. Moringa oleifera crude extract (MOCE) was used, and its efficiency compared traditional alum synthetic polymer (Nalco 9908) by optimising pH, dose settling time. Jar tests showed that MOCE caused rapid coagulation-flocculation kinetics higher oil removal than the (95 %-MOCE, 71 %-alum 48 %-polymer). Additionally, exhibited wider effective pH range (pH 3–11) did not affect initial of wastewater. However,...

While antimony has been reported to migrate from PET bottles into contents, reports on bottled water and soft drinks usage bottle reuse patterns are currently unavailable in the literature. Bottle use conditions important determinants of migration. In this work a survey assessing pattern Britain Nigeria was undertaken. The findings influenced design laboratory experiments that assessed migration drinks. Typical storage durations for contents between purchase opening were 7 days or less....

The catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol is considerable importance to a multitude applications and industries. present work introduces new catalyst (AuNP/GNP/MgAl-LDH) containing gold nanoparticles (AuNP) supported on graphene nanoplatelets (GNP) intercalated in Mg Al layered double hydroxides (MgAl-LDH) for the 4-aminophenol using NaBH4 as reducing agent. was characterised by FTIR, XRD, STEM, TEM, BET specific surface area. XRD analysis showed presence crystalline phases supports, while...
