Abstract The breaking of internal solitary waves (ISWs) over slope‐shelf topography induces energy dissipation and enhances mixing. In this work, high‐resolution, laboratory‐scale simulations are employed to investigate the instability mechanisms ISWs. We find that increasing nonhydrostatic pressure during deformation contributes an adverse gradient, which plunging flow for overturning. Shear convective instabilities trigger wave breaking. Wave‐induced vortexes induce strong shearing enhance...
Abstract The inversion of remote sensing signatures internal solitary waves (ISWs) can retrieve dynamic characteristics in the ocean interior. However, presence ubiquitous large‐amplitude ISWs poses challenges to commonly used weakly nonlinear methods for parameter retrieval. Through laboratory experiments, we establish a relationship between surface features and by imaging mechanism. results demonstrate that strong nonlinearity significantly influences retrieval ISWs, primarily manifested...
Hybridization can substantially improve growth performance. This study used metagenomics and metabolome sequencing to examine whether the rumen microbiota its metabolites contributed this phenomenon. We selected 48 approximately 3 month-old male ♂Hu × ♀Hu (HH, n = 16), ♂Poll Dorset (DH, ♂Southdown (SH, 16) lambs having similar body weight. The sheep were fed individually under same nutritional management conditions for 95 days. After completion of trial, seven close average weight per group...
Accumulations of high molecular weight glutenin subunits (HMW-GS) and macropolymer (GMP) in wheat grains are important indicators grain quality. Two near-isogenic lines, Line 11 (HMW-GS null, 7 + 9, 5 10) 12 17 18, 10), were used to evaluate the impacts different water supply on HMW-GS GMP accumulation, particle distributions grains. Three irrigation levels implemented a field pot experiment, respectively. Results indicated that drought is beneficial for desiccation two lines at late filling...
Internal solitary waves (ISWs) induce convergence and divergence of sea surface currents, manifesting as alternating bright-dark stripes in optical synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images. Although the relationship between ISWs features SAR images currents has been extensively explored, it hasn’t clearly quantified This study contrasts same using with short time intervals, statistically analyzes 450 ISW stripe widths determined by distance brightest darkest points image. The results...
The inversion of remote sensing signatures internal solitary waves (ISWs) can retrieve dynamic characteristics in the ocean interior. ubiquitous large-amplitude ISWs limit weakly nonlinear methods commonly used to wave parameters. We establish relationship between surface features and laboratory experiments through correspondence velocities ISWs. results show that strong nonlinearity makes solution wave-induced velocity inseparable, ISW theories under assumption are inappropriate describe...
Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) have a wide range of applications in marine detection, seabed search and rescue, military warfare. The pursuit high software reliability is the ultimate goal autonomous underwater vehicle development. This paper introduces design AUV system, constructs fault-tolerant management module based on technology, realized handling transient faults by using redundancy technology. failure data are predicted optimized Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) prediction model,...
