The investigation of conditions allowing multi-electron reduction and reoxidation polyoxometalate (POM) films onto solid substrates is considered an issue critical importance for their successful incorporation in electronic devices, different types sensors catalytic systems. In the present paper, rich redox chemistry Wells-Dawson ammonium salts, namely (NH4)6P2Mo18O62 (NH4)6P2W18O62, on top metallic (Al), semiconducting (ITO) dielectric (SiO2) under ambient investigated. respective Keggin...
Dispersive diffusion and annihilation of excitations in the amorphous aggregate phase a square-planar PtOEP sensitizer solid state result activation delayed fluorescence through an up-converted Pt II -centered state.
In this work we report Raman and FTIR evidence for extracellular electron uptake by Sulfobacillus thermosulfidooxidans from the solid phase carbon-based π-electron donor surface of graphite sheets. The primary step in reaction is intercalation water on followed formation EPS proceeds to form oxide (GO) with a I D/I G = 0.3 ratio which represents highest defect content carbon lattice reported bio-oxidation process. We propose discuss direct transfer mechanism via outer membrane redox proteins...
Biofilm formation is a molecular assembly process occurring at interfaces, such as in bioleaching processes. The real time monitoring of the marker bands amide I/amide II by FTIR microspectroscopy during Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans colonization on chalcopyrite surfaces revealed central role lipids, proteins and nucleic acids bacterial cell attachment to copper sulfide surfaces. Raman spectra interactions with bornite are also reported.
Raman, fluorescence and FTIR experiments of prestine Sagittula stellata stellata-metal ion complexes grown in light dark were performed to probe the photosensitivity response cellular components marine bacterium. In presence Cu(ii) Zn(ii) frequency shifts PO2 -, C-O-C C-O-P vibrations indicate metal binding nucleic acids, carbohydrates polysaccharides. We assign observed bands 514.1 nm Raman spectra S. Stellata extracted carotenoids C[double bond, length as m-dash]C C-C stretching...
A reversible light-intensity behavior of Dds and Fxs composition in the cells T. pseudonana . The observed LL to HL transitions are accompanied by structural modifications Chls a / c lack red-shifted Fxs.
Myoglobin has been demonstrated to function as a nitrite reductase produce nitric oxide during hypoxia. One of the most intriguing aspects myoglobin/nitrite interactions revealed so far is unusual O-binding mode ferric heme iron, although conflicting data have reported for electronic structure this complex also raising possibility linkage isomerism. In work, we applied resonance Raman spectroscopy in temperature-dependent approach investigate binding myoglobin and properties formed adduct...
We report resonance Raman spectra of the light-harvesting fucoxanthin-chlorophyll a/c-binding proteins (FCPs) marine diatom Fragilariopsis sp. The shifts in 15N-isotope-enriched provide first spectroscopic evidence for characterization Ca-N marker bands and, thus, penta- and hexacoordinated states chlorophylls a/c FCPs. Under 405 442 nm excitations, all Chl are observed isotope-based assignments new information concerning structure Chls FCPs their interactions with protein environment....
