Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) are a unique category of green that have gained attention in biomass processing due to their distinctive properties not offered by traditional solvents. The pH behavior 17 selected DESs along with temperature dependence on were evaluated this study. For all investigated DESs, increase caused decrease value.

Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) are a relatively new topic in science. Their usage is not yet clearly defined, and the areas which DESs may be applied constantly growing. A simple clean fractionation of main components biomass represents very important step creating clean, renewable carbon economy. major challenge use for at lower temperatures, without expensive raw materials. In this work, wheat straw was pretreated with six different DES systems composed choline chloride urea (1:2), malonic...

This study aimed to resolve the issue of lack detailed understanding effect initial lignin content in hardwood kraft pulps on pulp delignification by deep eutectic solvents. The authors used Kappa number concerned pulp, intrinsic viscosity, and selectivity efficiency as parameters effect. (50 g oven dry pulp) was treated with four different DESs systems based choline chloride lactic acid (1:9), oxalic (1:1), malic system alanine:lactic (1:9); results were compared those reached oxygen...

In this short communication, UV/Vis spectrophotometry is described as an analytical tool for the quantification of lignin content in deep eutectic solutions. The was solubilized with different solvent (DES). DESs were prepared binary mixtures choline chloride lactic acid (1:9); (1:10); ethylene glycol (1:2); glycerol (1:2) and alanine:lactic (1:9), betaine:lactic (1:2). UV-Vis spectrometric lignins independent type lignin. approach consists measuring absorbance a solution dissolved solvents...

Deep eutectic solvents play an important role in the clean production of chemicals and fractionation renewable sources. When dissolving lignin or cellulose at elevated temperatures, thermal stability deep is great importance. However, studies concerning long-term isothermal are scarce. In this study, solvents, namely, choline chloride with oxalic acid dihydrate, glycerol, glycolic, malic acid, citric monohydrate were investigated using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The decomposition...

In the field of green chemistry is study new solvent systems great challenge. Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) represent principles chemistry. Currently are preferred these types chemicals suitable for selective removal extractives, lignin or polysaccharides from biomass. Biomass selectively treated to individual fractions, which possible with following purification obtain products in higher yields and purity. this work describes various deep solvents, can be used pretreatment

Closed-system microwave-assisted extraction was applied to extract total phenolics from spruce (Picea abies) bark, using 96.6% ethanol as an extractant. The influence of particle size (0.3; 1.0; 2.5 mm), time (3 20 min), and temperature (60; 80; 100 °C) on polyphenol recovery also studied. Higher smaller resulted in a higher yield extracted polyphenols. However, the effect more complicated. all three factors is tentatively explained.
