The high ductility of Mg-Li alloy has been mainly ascribed to a activity pyramidal <c+a> slip accommodate plastic strain. In the present study, however, quantitative analysis reveals that Li-addition can only slightly stimulate activation under compression along normal direction hot-rolled Mg-4.5 wt.% Li plate, with relative approximately 18%. Although limited alone cannot large strain, it effectively reduces number {101¯1}−{101¯2} double twins, which are believed be favorable sites for...

Abstract The microstructure and texture in pure nickel were investigated during multi-step cross cold rolling (CCR) subsequent annealing. It was found that the deformation CCR dominated by Brass rotated about normal direction (ND) (Bs ND ) components, along with marginal cube textures. resulted textures had a significant effect on recrystallization behavior. Annealing of at 550°C for 1 h led to formation dominant <012> // fiber accompanied minor textures, rather than strong texture....
