Double metal cyanide (DMC) catalysts are commonly applied at industrial ring‐opening polymerization of the epoxides, being initial stage polyurethanes manufacturing route. This group is frequently used in industry, but knowledge on molecular nature their high activity and selectivity limited to some phenomenological hypotheses based overall chemical premises. To shine light relation between structural properties DMC activity, complementary X‐ray powder diffraction, photoelectron...
Abstract Granular GaAs:(Mn,Ga)As films were prepared by annealing the Ga 0.985 Mn 0.015 As/GaAs layers at 500 °C or 600 °C. It is commonly accepted that this processing should result in formation of cubic hexagonal MnAs clusters, respectively. We demonstrate such a priori assumption not justified. If as grown sample there are many defects with interstitial atoms, only small clusters can be formed even after Moreover, containing solely GaMnAs ions ferromagnetically coupled room temperature....
Granular GaAs:(Mn,Ga)As films were prepared by annealing the Ga0.92Mn0.08As/GaAs layer grown MBE method at low temperature. The was performed 500 or 600 °C. It is commonly accepted that this processing should result in formation of cubic zinc blende hexagonal MnAs inclusions depending on We demonstrate such a priory assumption not justified. kind formed depends only temperature but also number defects and Mn atoms substitutional interstitial positions as sample.
The content of Mn in the semimagnetic semiconductors Cd 1– x Te and Sn bulk crystals epitaxially grown layers was examined by X-ray spectrometry. investigated homogeneity samples were determined using electron probe microanalysis (EPMA). Bulk epitaxial found to be homogeneous. In spite this, shapes Lα valence band line from a crystal layer with same high very different. this case, estimated EPMA also differed significantly that magnetic measurements. detailed analysis lines diffraction...
Structural and magnetic properties of GaAs thin films with embedded MnAs nanoclusters were investigated as function the annealing temperature layers composition. The presence two kinds different dimensions structure detected. fraction Mn atoms in each kind cluster was estimated from extended X-ray absorption fine analysis. This analysis ruled out possibility existence containing a hypothetic cubic compound - only (Mn,Ga)As clusters Change layer strain compressive to tensile related zinc...
Novel optical sensors the most often require thin films or surface structures with strictly controlled properties, playing a critical role in them by initiating modifying their sensorial responses. Selected results of research on atomic layer deposited (ALD) metallic oxides will be shown, regarding applicability for functional coatings lossy mode resonance (LMR) and long period grating (LPG) fiber sensors. Basically amorphous tantalum oxide (TaxOy), zirconium (ZrxOy) hafnium (HfxOy) below...
