Donor–acceptor type polymers with delayed fluorescence are synthesized <italic>via</italic> a palladium catalyzed C–N coupling reaction.
With the advantages of facile one-pot synthesis and THF-irrigating purification, we first developed novel cyclic compounds with deep blue thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) dual emission even in as-spun films. Careful crystal analysis, combined theoretical calculations, reveal that abundant inter- intra-molecular interactions, whatsoever molecular packing, are obligated to unique RTP properties.
