Heavy metals, including arsenic from abandoned mines, are easily transported with sediment and deposited in waterbodies such as reservoirs lakes, creating critical water quality issues when they released. Understanding the leaching of heavy metals is necessary for developing efficient improvement plans. This study investigated how leaches different soil types responds to hydrologic conditions identify areas susceptible contamination. In this study, batch- column-leaching tests sequential...

Spatial estimation of geoscience data (geo-data) is challenging due to spatial heterogeneity, scarcity, and high dimensionality.A novel method needed consider the characteristics geo-data.In this study, we proposed application Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) among machine learning algorithms with multivariate for robust predictions. The performance approach was tested through soil chemical concentration from a former smelting area. The concentrations As Pb determined by ex-situ ICP-AES were...

To confirm the performance of turbidity analysis (TA) petroleum in soil samples, comparison tests were organized between two countries. For this purpose, TA procedures checked; one is batch-wise operation and other by a method using commercially available test kit.To evaluate performance, spiked samples was determined also GC-FID, which provided for detection procedures. The results support that quickly detects extracted with lower alcohols easy good recoveries equal to those given GC-FID.

This study suggested the new site classification system according to land use, type of contamination and contaminants. Because present can not cover all areas, we changed concept use more detail one enlarged other areas defined as certain use. In case industrial area, it was merged avoid confusion with oil toxic material storage tank farm area. Accident area separated from only accident caused by mobile facility. addition classify sites basic again in lower level With this system, proposed...

Based on the literature study for determination of perchlorate in soil we chose ion chromatography as a measurement method and decided to use 70 mM KOH an eluent avoid interference derived from co-elution pyrophosphate (P2O74−), tripolyphosphate (P3O105−). Also proposed air dried through 0.15 mm sieve distilled water extractant. Under these basic concepts, carried out experiments set up detail procedure like...

In addition to the measurement of concentration soil contaminants, new idea indicative parameters was proposed validate remedial works through monitoring for changes characteristics after applying clean up technologies. The like CFU (colony forming unit), pH and texture were recommended as land farming. case washing, water content particle size distribution sludge parameters. is produced separation process in washing it usually treated a waste. content, organic matter CEC (cation exchange...

The main objective of this study is to assess the compatibility between Korean ministry environment (KME) standard and ISO (KS I ISO) for determination BTEX TPH content in soil. We carried out comparison analysis both methods using CRM matrix spiked samples. In case GC-MS BTEX, we got statistically (significance level: 0.05) same results from KME (ES 07600.1) 15009). However, it showed different when was analyzed by 07552.1) 16703). To clarify reason why produced content, also did some...

The ISO document of ISO/TC/190/SC3/WG11/N11 is a working draft international standard (WD) dealing with analytical method for the determination explosives and related compounds using high performance liquid chromatography. scope this WD covers storage samples, preparing test portion, extraction instrumentation. main purpose study was to improve conditions which were already adopted in WD. For purpose, mechanical shaking could be corresponded up 18 hours ultrasonic bath tested. Methanol also...
