Conventional switching-table-based direct power control (STDPC) presents irregular ripples and variable switching frequency, due to the use of predefined table hysteresis comparators. This paper proposes an improved DPC for three-phase pulsewidth modulation (PWM) rectifier with simple calculation. The concept duty cycle is introduced in allocate only a fraction period voltage vector selected from conventional DPC, while null applied rest time. main advantages proposed are twofold. On one...

Aqueous all-polymer proton batteries (APPBs) consisting of redox-active polymer electrodes are considered safe and clean renewable energy storage sources. However, there remain formidable challenges for APPBs to withstand a high current rate while maximizing cell output voltage within narrow electrochemical window aqueous electrolytes. Here, capacitive-type cathode material is designed by grafting poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) with bioinspired catechol pendants, which delivers...

Implementation of hybrid energy system (HES) is generally considered as a promising way to satisfy the electrification requirements for remote areas. In present study, novel decision making methodology proposed identify best compromise configuration HES from set feasible combinations obtained HOMER. For this purpose, multi-objective function, which comprises four crucial and representative indices, formulated by applying weighted sum method. The entropy weight method employed quantitative...

This paper presented an improved self-adaptive particle swarm optimization (IDPSO) algorithm with detection function to solve multimodal problems. To overcome the premature convergence of PSO in a short time, evolution direction each is redirected dynamically by tuning three parameters IDPSO process. Numerical results on several benchmark functions indicate that strategy outperformed other variants PSO.

Rice husk, a surplus agricultural byproduct, was applied to the sorption of copper from aqueous solutions. Chemical modifications by treating rice husk with H 3 PO 4 increased ability for Cu(II). This work investigated characteristics Cu(II) and examined optimum conditions processes. The elemental compositions native -treated were determined X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis. scanning electron microscopic (SEM) analysis carried out structural morphological husk. surface functional groups...

In this study, we attempted a novel drag reduction technique for 25° and 35° Ahmed models by experimenting with two types of flap structures, respectively, added to the slant edges models. Different pairs flaps were at various angles compared sake comparison. The study comprehensively analyzed effects “big-type” “small-type” on aerodynamic near wake an model in greater range mounting angles. Parametric analysis results confirmed that large small are most efficient when configured specific...
