Abstract Es wird über die Verwendung von Wachsen als Bindemittel in der antiken Malerei berichtet. Als hauptsächliche literarische Quelle dient „Naturalis historia”︁ Encyklopädie Plinius. Die Entstehung und Entfaltung Wachsmalerei, Bienenwachs, seine Reinigungs‐ Bleichmethoden, verschiedene Malverfahren, z. B.
