Zeolite Rho is able to successfully separate CO(2) from CH(4) with the highest selectivity ever observed on basis of pore diameter and surface polarity. The adsorption provokes structural changes in zeolite Rho.
Multifunctional materials, especially those combining two or more properties of interest, are attracting immense attention due to their potential applications. MOFs, metal organic frameworks, can be regarded as multifunctional materials if they show another useful property in addition the adsorption behavior. Here, we report a new light hybrid, MgH6ODTMP·2H2O(DMF)0.5 (1), which has been synthesized using tetraphosphonic acid H8ODTMP,...
Adsorption of CO2 and CH4 has been measured on the Na-, K-, Cs-forms zeolite Rho (0–9 bar; 283–333 K). Although is excluded, readily taken up, although uptake at low pressures decreases strongly, in order Na+ > K+ Cs+. Structural studies by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) suggest that cations intercage window sites block adsorption; however, presence CO2, can move enough to permit adsorption (several angstroms). Determination time-averaged cation positions during 298 K Rietveld refinement...
Herein we report the synthesis of an elusive metal-organic framework, iron(II) analogue ZIF-8 with formula Fe(2-methylimidazolate)2, here denoted as MUV-3. The preparation this highly interesting porous material, inaccessible by common synthetic procedures, occurs in a solvent-free reaction upon addition easily detachable template molecule, yielding single crystals This methodology can be extended to other metals and imidazolate derivatives, allowing ZIF-8, ZIF-67, unprecedented ZIFs...

As service to our authors readers, this journal provides supporting information supplied by authors. Such materials are peer reviewed may be re-organized online delivery, but not copy-edited or...
A highly stable Metal–Organic Framework with a hierarchical structure based on the Fe3O cluster and TTF-based ligand is presented.
The choice of an appropriate adsorbent for CO2 separation by pressure-swing adsorption remains a field intense research. In this work, several FAU and LTA zeolites with different Na contents (Si/Al ratios) are studied the from mixtures CO2, CO, CH4 means breakthrough experiments. experiments were carried out between 1 5 bar at 303 K using two feed mixtures: 50/50 (v/v) CO2/CH4 75/15/15 (v/v/v) CO2/CH4/CO. most polar zeolites, i.e., those high content, exhibit highest capacity selectivity but...
The synthesis of a new microporous metal-organic framework (MOF) based on two secondary building units, with dinuclear cobalt centers, has been developed. employment well-defined cluster results in an unusual topology the Co2-MOF, where one centers three open coordination positions, which no precedent MOF materials cobalt. Adsorption isotherms have revealed that Co2-MOF is range best CO2 adsorbents among carbon materials, very high CO2/CH4 selectivity. On other hand, dispersion alcoholic...
The capture of CO2 from post-combustion streams or other mixtures, such as natural gas, is an effective way reducing emissions, which contribute to the greenhouse effect in atmosphere. One developing technologies for this purpose physisorption on selective solid adsorbents. ideal adsorbents are toward CO2, have a large adsorption capacity at atmospheric pressure and easily regenerated, resulting high working capacity. Therefore, combining molecular sieving properties low heats clear interest...
