Abstract BACKGROUND Dietary mineral deficiency, hypertension and diabetes have become serious human health problems. approaches are increasingly being investigated to address these issues. Identification of food‐derived biological peptides has an important approach control such diseases. Peptides generated from aquatic byproducts been shown possess activities. RESULTS Significantly higher copper‐chelating activity was observed on simulated hydrolysis intact collagen. The collagen hydrolysate...
Three enzymes, GA (Genencor Alkaline Protease), GN Neutral Protease) and Protamex were used to prepare protein hydrolysates from defatted peanut meal (DPM). The physicochemical properties of hydrolysate (DPMH) the changes flavor determined. DPMHs had lower isoelectric points, zeta potential values better solubility. DPMH showed best emulsifying activity emulsion stability. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) changed significantly with most drastic at 4–6 h. About 50 VOCs labeled using GC-IMS....
We have developed an efficient protocol for the synthesis of C-glycosylated phenanthridines. Tetrafuranos-4-yl and pentapyranos-5-yl radicals, generated from K2S2O8-mediated oxidative decarboxylation furan- pyranuronic acids, undergo attack to 2-isocyanodiphenyls ensuing homolytic aromatic substitution provide diverse phenanthridines in satisfactory yields without resort transition metals. This reaction tolerates various functional groups, enables ready complex oligosaccharide-based The...
Abstract Background Radix Puerariae ( Gegen ) contains abundant isoflavones in the forms of glycosides and aglycones, such as daidzein, daidzin puerarin. This study aims to investigate intestinal absorbability mechanism these three structurally related isoflavones. Methods The bi-directional transport Caco-2 monolayer model was performed evaluate their involvement transporters Transwell. In vitro incubation puerarin with rat microvilli preparation conducted estimate potential form absorption...
An efficient protocol for the synthesis of diverse diosgen-3-yl glycoconjugates, a class novel synthetic analogs natural saponins biological significance, has been developed. The method relies on gold(I)-catalyzed etherification ortho-hexynylbenzoate with stoichiometric sugar alcohols to afford corresponding glycoconjugates in 38%-99% yields. reaction involves preferential attack hydroxyl groups C3 position homoallylic carbocation intermediate and displays broad substrate scope good...
As part of total synthesis philinopside E, herein we describe convergent a triterpene glcoside composed the sulfated tetrasaccharide residue identical to that E and algycone lanost-7-en-3β-ol.
This study aimed to investigate the effect of oligochitosan on purified polyphenol oxidase (PPO) from Fuji apple and associated mechanisms. PPO was firstly separated in a four-step procedure molecular weight estimated be about 65 kDa by SDS-PAGE. showed an optimum activity at pH 7 35°C, it stable temperature range 25–55°C with more than 50% residual activity. Thermal inactivation parameters indicated that very heat-labile. Using catechol as substrate, decreased increase concentration, only...
ABSTRACT Chitosan resin-trypsin was prepared for one-step affinity purification of trypsin inhibitor (TI) from a wild-type soybean (Glycine soja Sieb. & Zucc.). The influences several parameters (cross-linking, chemical modifying and activating agent) on the chitosan activity were investigated. results showed that composite demonstrated considerable at levels of, 3.6% glutaraldehyde (cross-linking agent), 0.06 mol/L NaBH4 (chemical 15% epichlorohydrin (activating agent). Furthermore, assay...
