Minerals adsorb more amino acids with charged R-groups than uncharged R-groups. Thus, the peptides that form from condensation of on surface minerals should be composed acid residues are uncharged. However, most (74%) in today's proteins have an R-group. One mechanism which to solve this paradox is use organophilic such as zeolites. Over range pH (pH 2.66–4.50) used these experiments, R-group histidine (His) positively and neutral for alanine (Ala), cysteine (Cys), methionine (Met). In...

GLYPHOSATE ON SOILS AND MINERALS.Glyphosate, an enzyme inhibitor herbicide, has been widely used around the world in agriculture.Dr. John Franz from Monsanto Corporation (USA) discovered glyphosate 1970.It showed that is strongly adsorbed by inorganic soil components especially aluminium and iron oxides, phosphate group involved this interaction. The inactivation of soils can last for days or even months depending on characteristics. The addition fertilizers displace could be cause decreased...

This work showed that the adsorption of glyphosate (GPS) depends on surface area for clays and amount CEC soils. Organic matter (OM) had a secondary role in GPS The soils from Londrina Floraí counties (montmorillonite, kaolinite) decreased when pH increased, however, bentonite clay soil Tibagi county was kept constant. For soils, competitive between phosphate displace by related to clays, pH. not easily displaced clays. FT-IR spectra resembled kaolinite. Thus, this could explain results phosphate.

With the aim of studying use conjugated polymers poly(3- methylthiophene) (P3MT), poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and polydiphenylamine (PDPA) to make up active layer inverted organic solar cells forming interface with TiO2, also help shed light on optical electronic properties applied develop this technology, interfaces between films containing P3MT, P3HT PDPA ITO electrode were electrochemically prepared, after chemically depositing a film TiO2. The systems under investigation designated...

Abstract In this work, poly(3‐octylthiophene) (P3OT) films were synthesized electrochemically in non‐aqueous media through the oxidation of monomer, (3‐octylthiophene), using a standard three‐electrode cell acetonitrile with 0.05 mol L −1 LiClO 4 or Et NBF . The polymeric deposited on fluorine tin oxide (FTO). partial dedoping was obtained NH OH solution, providing good chemical stability formed material. method have been characterized by Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR),...

DECOLORIZATION OF SYNTHETIC DYES ON Ti/TiO 2 .The main goal of this paper was to study the degradation synthetic dyes using photoelectrocatalytic properties particulate films TiO supported on plates titanium and stimulated by UV-Vis radiation. The decolorizations were measured spectrophotometric methods verify which conditions electrode best for photoelectrodegradation them. The results showed that decolorization rates higher than 90% during a period 270 min.FT-IR spectroscopy intermediate...

Minerals could have played an important role in concentration, protection, and polymerization of biomolecules. Although iron is the fourth most abundant element Earth's crust, there are few works literature that describe use oxide-hydroxide prebiotic chemistry experiments. In present work, interaction adenine, thymine, uracil with ferrihydrite was studied under conditions resemble those Earth. At acidic pH, anions artificial seawater decreased pH at point zero charge (pHpzc) ferrihydrite;...
