The sustainable development and preservation of natural resources have highlighted the critical need for effective maintenance civil engineering infrastructures. Recent advancements in technology data digitization enable acquisition from sensors on structures like bridges, tunnels, energy production facilities. This paper explores "smart" uses these to optimize actions through interdisciplinary approaches, integrating artificial intelligence engineering. Corrosion, a key factor affecting...

This paper deals with the possibility of using fresh concrete waste as recycled aggregates in concrete. An experimental program based on two variables (proportion fine replacement and proportion coarse replacement) was implemented. The proportions were 0%, 50%, 100% by mass aggregates. Several mechanical properties tested compressive tensile strengths. results show a good correlation between percentage properties. Concerning properties, gradual decrease compressive, splitting, flexural...
This paper presents a review on combining NDT techniques, such as rebound hammer and ultrasonic pulse velocity, for assessing concrete compressive strength. These methods, though being favorably not invasive easy to be extended larger number of elements, are affected by many contingency factors. The SonReb technique suggests the two methods partially offset their low reliability if considered separately. For years, this concept was introduced in order improve evaluation compared with use one...
