Abstract Photospheric faculae are markers of the solar magnetic field, appearing as bright regions along edges granules on Sun’s surface. Using data from Debrecen Solar Faculae Database, we investigated spatiotemporal distribution photospheric between 2010 May 1 and 2014 December 31 found following. (i) At lower latitudes, there is an enhanced abundance stripes at given Carrington longitudes, which interpreted indicative presence active longitudes. (ii) higher identified so-called crisscross...

Abstract In this study, utilizing data from the Solar Dynamics Observatory/Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager–Debrecen Faculae Data Catalogue, we investigated solar facula distribution over timescales much larger than individual lifetimes of faculae. We aimed to better comprehend behavior Sun’s global magnetic field, where faculae play a role as markers. (1) Along latitudinal direction, observed following in appearance (i) Short-term periods with Carrington rotation (27.3 days) some its...

Abstract In this paper, we investigate the inhomogeneous spatial distribution of solar faculae. The focus is on latitudinal and longitudinal distributions these highly localised features covering ubiquitously surface. statistical analysis based white light observations Solar Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) Dynamics (SDO) between 1996 2014. We found that fine structure faculae displays a quasi-biennial oscillatory pattern. Furthermore, photospheric does not show homogeneous behaviour either....
