We evaluated the accuracy of electron densities and effective atomic numbers determined by raw data-based dual-energy analysis on a 320-detector computed tomography scanner. The mean (SD) errors between measured true were 1.3% (1.5%) 3.1% (3.2%), respectively. Electron can be with high accuracy, which may help to improve in radiotherapy treatment planning.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the value cerebral blood volume (CBV) obtained with perfusion computed tomography (CT) and electron density (ED) measured by dual-energy CT for differentiating high- from low-grade glioma (HGG, LGG). CBV ED were in 9 LGG 7 HGG patients. LGGs HGGs compared. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves generated CBV, ED, plus ED. correlation between MIB-1 labeling index tumors examined. All these analyses also performed using relative (rCBV) (rED)...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:
Conventional CT has generally lower detectability of bone marrow invasion than MR imaging due to tissue contrast. The purpose this study was compare the diagnostic performance conventional alone or in combination with subtraction iodine using area detector for evaluation skull base patients nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
MATERIALS METHODS:
Forty-four consecutive who underwent contrast-enhanced 320–row and carcinoma staging between April 2012 November 2017...
Single-energy metal artefact reduction (SEMAR), a new technique that can now be used in routine CT examinations, has recently become applicable to volume data acquired with electrocardiography gating. We evaluated the effect of this on visualization coronary arteries patients harboring cardiac devices. We subjected 8 (7 males, 1 female; mean age 65.5 ± 11.3 years) implanted devices angiography 320-slice scanner (Aquilion ONE Vision™; Toshiba Medical Systems Corp., Tokyo, Japan). Image sets...
Tumor size and depth of invasion (DOI) are mandatory assessments for tumor classification in tongue cancer but often non-assessable on CT due to dental artifacts. This study investigated whether subtraction iodine imaging (SII) would improve delineation measurability.Fifty-seven consecutive patients with cancer, who underwent scanning a 320-row area detector contrast administration were treated surgical resection, retrospectively evaluated. was reconstructed single-energy projection-based...
Objective Identify appropriate reconstruction modes of Forward-projected model-based Iterative Reconstruction SoluTion (FIRST) in temporal bone computed tomography (CT) and investigate the contribution spatial resolution noise to visual assessment. Methods Sixteen CT images were reconstructed. Two blinded radiologists assessed 8 anatomical structures classified These scores compared across among each structure. Visual contrast-to-noise ratio, power spectrum (NPS) at low (NPS Low ) high High...
