Amomum xizangense (Zingiberaceae), a new species from Xizang, China, is described and illustrated. It similar to A. maximum subcapitatum, but differs in having purple-red leaf sheath, or reddish-green petiole, lamina with midvein, persistent bracts bracteoles, yellowish-white calyx, yellowish corolla, yellow anther trilobed crest globose fruit.
Curcuma viridiflora Roxb., a plant species of significant pharmaceutical interest, has been the subject limited chloroplast genomic research. In this study, we present sequencing and assembly C. genome, which is characterized by circular chromosome spanning 162,212 base pairs GC content 36.20%.
