Early Jurassic- to Cretaceous-age calcareous nannofossils from the Sarki, Sehkanyian, Sargelu, Naokelekan, Barsarin and Chia Gara formations are investigated for first time Warte area, northeastern Iraqi Kurdistan. A range of isotopic inorganic geochemical analyses carried out in order reconstruct paleoecological paleoclimatic conditions during which were deposited. The age Sargelu Formation was determined as Bajocian–Callovian based on occurrence Cyclagelosphaera margerelii, Watznaueria...
The article considers features of boundary Cretaceous–Eocene deposits in Belogorskiy district Central Crimea. Structures interpreted as paleoseismic dislocations are described, their age, composition, history formation specified, magnitude and intensity paleoearthquake estimated. Steeply dipping fractures Cretaceous rocks regular associated with dip strike the main regional structures. Their was caused by a transverse stretching during uplift structures at beginning Eocene coinciding phase...
The lithological and geochemical characteristics of the Meso-Cenozoic interval Leskinskaya well section (the mouth Yenisei River) its paleogeographic paleoclimatic are given.
In 394 samples characterizing 266 stratigraphic levels in four Turonian–Santonian sections the Southwestern Crimea, characteristic remanent magnetization components (ChRM) formed at stage of diagenesis is identified. The data obtained represent record Paleocene geomagnetic variations high amplitude (rms deviation S = 25.9° with a fixed cut-off angle 45°, which about twice as model for this latitude) sediments ~5–6 Ma and are interpreted anomalous behavior field Turonian, Coniacian, Santonian.
Twenty six samples from the sections at Flodigarry and Digg Staffin Bay, Isle of Skye, northern Scotland, spanning stratigraphical interval uppermost Oxfordian to lowermost Kimmeridgian were examined for their calcareous nannofossil content. The study revealed presence an assemblage typical zone NJ15 European zonation.
