This study develops a modified version of the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) designed to better represent riparian depressional wetlands (SWATrw). It replaces existing unidirectional hydrological interactions between wetland river/aquifer with more robust bidirectional approach based on hydraulic principles.
